Traffic School

Post by Chris Teague »

My wife got a speeding ticket, and needs a recommendation on an online traffic school. Any suggestions?

Not sure how much they have changed since 2003, but it was a good one back then.

Fight the ticket first! Did she pay already?

Marilyn is out of town a lot, so gave up on the fighting idea.

She is going to try Nicole's suggestion. Thanks!

I'd used this site about 2 years ago. Their prices and the "time spent" on it were very reasonable.

+1 Fight the ticket. She does not have to do anything or be in town or show up anywhere. Most atty's are about $100 and my wife had sucess with fighting a red light cam ticket.

Mr Ticket in San Diego was used.

In Glendale they have an "incentive" program for the cops to show up at traffic court. They have a whole section for them to wait and huck it up while we waste a half a day "fighting." I would only do this if I was in trouble point or insurance wise.

Looking for any update on good online traffic school, the provided list with the ticket is enormous...
Pushed the yellow light too far and got 0.5 sec red light automatic camera ticket...

Thanks

I thought you just ignore red light tickets these days.

Interesting, and here is an update on that:

http://www.laweekly.com/informer/2014/0 ... era-ticket" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Gallagher's first rule: The ticket has to have been issued by an L.A. County law enforcement agency for a location inside the county. If you got it in Orange County or in any other area outside L.A. county lines you're out of luck.
But I am out of luck, as this was in Santa Ana... :cry:

Maybe not completely clear cut in the OC after all...

http://www.ocregister.com/articles/cour ... light.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Red-light camera violations go unpunished
Story Highlights: Police and O.C. courts rarely follow up on unpaid red light camera tickets. Since 2004, as many as 25,000 red light runners have walked away without penalty.

I considered the ones mentioned in this thread, but then I found a lot of good reviews on Yelp for this one:
https://www.easyfastcheaptrafficschool.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It was as the name describes, easy & fast, and cheap too.
I just checked occourts.com and it stated Traffic School Completed and case status Closed, so no problems.
Ignore the up-sell at the end and if you want to save $2 use my referral code 127560 (which apparently will credit me $2).
