Emergency Surgery for Steve Towers

Post by George Schilling »

Our good friend and fellow autox'er has had emergency surgery. It was serious but I'm told by his wife that the prognoses is good and if all goes well he may be able to still attend Nationals for the first time. I know he's been looking forward to it.

If you'd like to wish him well, he's at St. Joseph's Hospital in Orange 714-771-8000.

I'm not sure if he has a computer in his room, but I know there's internet access available. I can almost guarantee this is one of the first places he'll go once he does have internet access.

Get will soon my friend.

This is obviously bad karma from the Corvette Gods for not wearing enough gold medallions. Feel better soon, Steve.

Was it the stock market or not getting into the Pro that brought this on ? Hope you are up and about soon!

To all of Steve's friends,

I just spoke with Steve's wife Linda, and indeed Steve is in the hospital in Orange. It is a serious matter, but the doctors say that he will heal completely from what currently ails him.

He will not be able to receive calls currently, do to the contraptions they have him attached to, so his wife asked if you could give him a day or two before you call. She is bringing a laptop, so he may be able to respond shortly to all the nice messages all of you have posted.

Most important thing: Keep Steve-o in our thoughts and prayers.

God's speed, Steve!!
