Today is a good day

Post by Curt Luther »

We wrote our last check for child care, ever, today. Well, unless that DNA test comes back positive, but anyway, that frees up $5,000 a year. I'm thinking of a nice, safe investment or blowing it on an RV. A little brother to Paul's "Rollin' Rhino".

Thoughts?

My Child Care payments end next month! Instead I now have college payments ....

Actually I'm hoping that the college loan will help me get caught up. Haven't figured out all of the details yet.

Got the RV---Trip to SF for Divisional, missed shift, blown head gasket, bent push rods, new Cometic head gasket, new Isky push rods, rework the head, and still the damn gas, to go up and back, cost more than all the work on the car.....

Hmmm.........from child care to college. I guess it's true when they say that kids entering college just aren't as mature as they used to be. :)

Well $5,000 should cover the gas bill. Might be cheaper to stick with hookers and blow.

Well, so much for the RV, probably...

My brother-in-law, through a miracle from God, is getting married. The miracle is that the girl is Polish, so she doesn't know any better. The part that f's up my Image on an RV is that the wedding will be in Poland. So now, we gotta Image on a trip to Poland in August of '09. I don't wanna go. The wife doesn't really wanna go, but at least, she should. It's her brother and someone should go with her mom. If we all go, I would like to go to some other (read: better) parts of Europe and end with the wedding. Poland may be nice, but I'm sure it's not on everyone here's list of places to go in Europe...by choice. The real suckage part is my wife HAS to be back to work two days after the wedding.

Big RV show at Fairplex this weekend. Damn...

Swell, great time to buy Euros. Maybe the greenback will be worth more by then. :|

At least you could go to Italy and a few other places beforehand, maybe catch a stage of WRC or something.

Europe pretty much shuts down and goes on vacation in August. It's probably the worst possible time to go.
The UK is your best bet. Italy, France, Germany and Spain will all be either dead or packed with European tourists.
Ireland might be ok.

I forgot to mention. The wedding is now in early June and there is NO POSSIBLE way my wife can attend and keep her job.

So S2000 it is...maybe

I remember you as being too tall to fit in an s2k Curt... but I tend to not notice people's heights well.

I just know at 6'4" 220 I fit in a S2k worse than I fit in a Miata and I don't fit in a Miata.

I'm only 6'1" but I have short legs and a long torso. I've sat in S2000s but never driven. Hopefully that will change on Sunday... :)

Top down there is plenty of head room. It doesn't rain much down there anyway... :D

Race bucket also helps.....
