Diagnostic reader for Mercedes Benz anyone?

Post by Ken Motonishi »

Trying to help out my father-in-law 2001 E320 check engine light but realize it's a special round connector. Could buy one but they cost $50 at Autozone and probably won't use it much anyways. Or a good source/repair shop for this car. Any suggestions/recommendations greatly appreciated.
Dood, are you gonna eat that?

Look for the standard OBDII connector under the drivers side dash. Any car post 1995 has to have it, if it's a grey market car YMMV.

Sometimes they hide the connector under a cover, in the center console, in armrest, glovebox...

It's under a plastic lid on the driver side at the bottom of the dash.

^What Toby said....

Far as I know, those year E320s usually have problems related either to the MAF, 02 sensors, or EGR- roll the dice and pick your problem! Haha.
