That car has had a long hard life. It started out as a pro-celebrity car for Long Beach GP ( I talked to actor Perry King this weekend, he drove it back in the late nineties and would have won the race had it not been for fuel starvation on the last few laps). Then it was a school car @ Willow Springs for several years until Ashley bought for Rally-X. Now it's going to be set up for SCCA National racing in F-Production (FP).

Mako, those are some great videos from inside Karen's car, including the "incident" and Steve's consoling feedback to her in the pits afterward.Mako Koiwai wrote:Start of the Race ... Toby on pole ... Karen starting I believe 15th out of 20. They were being very strict about having proper order during the previous Starts, so Karen is taken by surprise that they weren't going to do another go around: http://vimeo.com/39257329
Thanks for sharing.

That is great news - we need more FP cars out there. I run an FP Miata. I'm sure that Jason Eisley is a great source for you on some of "production's" nuances. If there is anything I can do to help, let me know.Toby Larsson wrote:...Now it's going to be set up for SCCA National racing in F-Production (FP).

I have a letter in to the CRB asking for the car to be classed in FP with the 1.8l motor. Depending on how long it will take to get it classed and the low turnout locally for FP I'm leaning toward running in STU instead with the motor from the MR2 Turbo. Most probably less competetive in STU than FP but more fun to have somebody to race with.
Are you coming down for the BFG Super Tour at the end of the month, didn't see anybody signed up for FP yet.
