I hadn't seen this finish, but the announcers are right, might be one of the best ever.

See....this is how it COULD be in Autocross. All we need is multiple parallel lanes, with LOTS of cars on course simultaneously. ;)

Then it would be called a race.
Years ago, we had an event @ Dodger stadium. There were two courses, a right and a left. Two runs on each with a combined time, lowest wins. It started with a fairly long (1/8 ? mi.) straight away, so it was a drag race to start.
It was ALOT of fun. My VW pissed off a few corvettes.

That sounds like alot of fun.....
I`m just getting the car back. The ring and pinion broke, and I had to find one (50 yr old parts are hard to find) finally found one 2500 miles away. After bringing buckets and buckets of money......it`s fixed.

By the way, on the "Race" thing. I cant take credit for that. Rod Bean always said the "Slaloms" were not racing. Racing was when at least 2 cars were on course at the same time. I don`t know about you guys but at most events don`t they run a couple of cars on course?

Going back to the origin of this thread...........That finish is amazballs

Anyone with a double entendre "Tight Sqz" license plate ought not be "fixing" things. 8-)
