Helloooooo! (And help with CA geography)

Post by Jenna D'Amico »

Hi Cal Club!

It's been a while since I've seen any of you, and I missed you guys! No I did not move to sunny SoCal, but I did move to your time zone - I'm way up in Mount Vernon, WA via TX Region in Dallas, and NER in CT.

Anyway, I am looking for some help with CA geography and perhaps to bribe one of you with dinner...I'm looking to purchase a vehicle in what I think is the LA suburbs (Ontario), but would like some recon before I purchase a one-way plane ticket.

Hope to see some of you out at Packwood :)

Howdy Jenna. I'm nowhere near Ontario, but several CalClubbers are so hopefully it won't take long to find some help.

I googled, and it looks like it's right next to LA, but I don't know how traffic and suburbs function in the great South. I was made aware that asking someone to meet you 12 miles away could be akin to asking for a pound of flesh.

What kind of recon are we talking about? I'm more than happy to verify a list you may have. If you are wanting a multi-point inspection, I would recommend having them bring it to a AAA inspection shop or something.

I'm not near Ontario, but we're all racing next weekend at Fontana & it's on the way there/back.

Ontario is next to Auto Club Speedway, where we hold many of our events. Probably the nearest person to help would be Tom Berry and family, if you're looking for a ride or for an inspection. Traffic sucks everywhere in SoCal.

Having lived in Connecticut and the LA basin...
LA to Ontario is like Hartford to New Haven, except you never get out of the city traffic.
