For those of you who have not attended a National Event, this is a must. Drivers from across the western states will descend on San Diego for three days for the only National Tour stop in Southern California. Friday is for staking out your paddock space, trying out the surface on a practice course, getting your car tech'd, registration check-in, walking Saturday's championship course, culminating with a welcome party. The course is lighted and open for walking into the night.
Even though Friday is a big part of the fun, you can tech and check-in on Saturday morning if you can't make it on Friday. Just be sure to register online beforehand.
Competition takes place on Saturday and Sunday, running a different course each day. Best time from each day is combined to determine the class champion. Lots of fun, lots of camaraderie.
Make you plans now and get registered! See you in San Diego!

Re: The 2015 Championship Tour is Now Open for Registration
Aloha San Diego Region! My husband (Mike) and I are looking for a co-drive at the San Diego National Tour in March 2015. We are flying up with our family from Hawaii and hoping to find someone willing to have a co-drive/tire warmer for the event.
We chair the Hawaii Region Solo events on Oahu and have been driving our FP 240Z for 10+ years. We have both National Tour and National Championship events under our belts since 2004.
We're just looking to be with the awesome West Coast group again since we're probably not making it to Nationals this year... again... Kids and work are taking precedence lately. /
If anyone is interested, please let me know!

Jennifer (Lee) Parker

URGENT need of 15 more entrants.
The two week deadline is approaching and we only have 97 + 8 Juniors signed up.
Let's recruit to make that 120 minimum!!!!!

For those who complain about not being able to get in to Practices... here's your chance for two days of AX! And it's far from hitting it's CAP. Just like El Toro, we may be in a last year(s) scenario at Qualcom too. Don't miss out on one of the premier events, in one of the premier lots in the country. The Q has the wide open long courses of El Toro combined with the on/off camber challenges of AAA.
On the flip side of the coin... we're currently at 103 adults + 8 kids. With the 18 100+ entrants for which the corresponding sub 100 competitor has not registered we should be safe from cancellation... as long as the co-drives get off their duf'f's and just sign up.

Was it this close last year? From what I understand, the San Diego CAM guys are dragging their feet. There are about 15 of them.Craig Naylor wrote:For those who complain about not being able to get in to Practices... here's your chance for two days of AX! And it's far from hitting it's CAP. Regular registration for the San Diego National Tour ENDS Monday, 3/16 at midnight. If you're on the fence, time to fall on one side or the other.
If you haven't yet experienced a national tour, get signed up. It's an experience like no other. With the Qualcomm always in jeopardy, we never know how much longer we have in wonderful San Diego. The 10 day forecast is calling for sunny skies and moderate temperatures perfect for autocross. Hotels can be had on either Hotwire.com or Priceline.com as low as $35 a night. If you want to spring for a little more, I just got a the *** Holiday Inn Express with a 95% approval rating on Hotwire for $52 including free internet, parking and breakfast each day of your stay.
Why are you waiting? Get signed up.
