Reed, Pete and Chad will be the course set up workers on Friday. This will count as your Saturday work assignment. See you at 3.

Dennis and Ed will have Sat changeover, and it counts as your Sunday work.

Thank you!

Reed, Pete and Chad - Course set up time is now in the air. AMCI needs the runway. Waiting for availability. Chad, please send me your cell phone (direct message or post here). I'll let you know what time we can set up.

Worst case, we'll have to do course set up on Saturday morning.

OK guys, here's the new best way to get in (and still have your car clean!). We'll have the gate open at 6:00 am (or call me if anybody wants to get there earlier). If you go this way, you'll avoid the giant gravel trap that we've been driving through for the past few months. Note: the Astor entrance is still open and our old taxiway intersection by all the palm trees is still open and available.

Basic instructions: From Sand Canyon enter the Great Park on Marine Way (just like last year). Continue straight on the new Marine Way (it's a public road now with curbs, bike lanes, center island and stop lights). There is a stop light intersection with a brand new Skyhawk street (curbs, bike lane, etc.). Turn left there (only way you can turn). The entrance gate to our area is on the right about 1000 feet up. We'll have the gate open by 6:00am.

Well....I didn't want to add that complication, but if somebody wants to do it they can.

This is the new proper way to get to our site. They did a lot of cleanup for some Great Park event, so now it's nice new public roads till that gate off of Skyhawk and that taxi way is cleaned up as well. This entrance totally avoids the massive gravel trap mess.

They also cleaned up all the weeds and grass growing through the pavement in our lower grid area. In general, they did quite a bit of cleanup in the areas we use as far as weeds and overgrowth goes. Opened up the grid area quite a bit and the road that I paddocked on last event up there is much wider now that it's cleaned up....plenty of space for parking/paddock on it as well.

No setup today, but we'll be there at 6 tomorrow! If anybody wants to start earlier, let me know and I'll work with Ken to get the gate open earlier!
