Man, that last-minute change to the far end of the course (adding an offset slalom in station 2) really screwed me up. I DNF'd 4 straight times (all 3 comp runs, plus my first x run) before Leonard (riding along) pointed out that there was one more cone to the left that I kept completely missing. I was able to run a clean 56.4 and a 55.2 for my last 2 x-runs, so I at least felt better about the day, but damn...four straight DNFs.

I worked that section.... yeah, it was pretty bad the number of people that would just blow through there! I am glad I worked to see that before I ran.

I walked in the morning (just B-4 the driver's meeting) and at lunch. It was the same.

That section of the course was changed ~20 minutes before the drivers' meeting. There was an announcement over the speakers stating this was happening and for all participants to walk out to that section of the course and take a look.

Yeah, I walked it twice before the change and once after, but somehow that last cone in the slalom just didn't register in the old cortex.

Thought this was interesting...
My roommate's Sunday ride to LAX, Jen Meylan, was at the airport and California Speedway at the same time.

#612

Must have something to do with Bill's car being listed as a 1968 Cororra.

To be honest, I never noticed the PM line at the top of the screen.
I have printed the Team Blew lists for Sept and Oct and will update the Team Challenge results in the next few days.
Sorry about that, I'll be sure to check for messages in the future.
