Ryan Buetzer, Racing Under Green TV

Post by Mako Koiwai »

Saw most of the Racing Under Green ... the 1 hour documentary/summary show on the VW Jetta TDI Cup that Ryan raced in this year ... on Speed this evening.

I think it's being repeated tomorrow, TONIGHT!, Sunday:

I read something about the Jetta TDI Series just recently. Very competitive series from what I could gather based on the strict limitations of what each team could do to their car. I'm willing to bet in 50 years there will be a hybrid vehicle racing series
STX 2007 Honda Civic Si-
HFP suspension, progress rear sway, SPC camber kit, carbing strut bar, modified factory intake, custom cat back exhuast.

Tire pressure, +/- 3psi from spec, that is all.

I thought the season review was much better than any of the race coverage. For 2009 I would rather watch a season opener, showing the process of getting the drivers in, and talk about the cars. Then do a wrap up at the end of the season, with some race footage. The races made the show look like SetUp season 3. :barf:

+ 1

The wrap up doc was much better then the race coverage. You had to feel a bit sorry for Ryan. Those kids went on a Hope and a Prayer with a sponsor (could be family) to pay for the damages. The cars were surprisingly fast while being economic fuel wise. Some of those young drivers had an amazing amount of wheel to wheel experience. I think that 16 year old had something like 10 years of experience, a lot of it in full size race cars! I thought that one should be at least 18 to drive in a series like that, but I guess in the end, why does that matter? :(
