Wendover Hotels?
Where does everyone stay?
What's good? Hotels to avoid?
Priceline? What geographic area do you pick, stars, etc? Not sure what is closer.
Thanks in Advance,
Katy

I'm stating at the Montego Bay Casino, most people seem to stay there or the Peppermill Casino. It's that or one of the Motels over on the Utah side.

The above link contains info on getting a discount at the Rainbow or Montego Bay Casinos. We are going to stay at the Rainbow.
Priceline was not being cooperative, even at $50 and 1 star, so a few dollars more at a nicer place seemed like a good deal.

We all stayed at the Montego Bay last year - I won $600 on the slots there, if that influences anyone's decision.

Stayed at the Rainbow last time. A bit too much neon and suede going on in there, but the other casinos are probably fine. The whole town is like 5 square miles, wherever you stay will be close to the event site.
Re: Wendover Hotels?
Kinda off topic, but has anyone flown in for the Wendover event? If so, was Salt Lake City the only airport to fly into?

Re: Wendover Hotels?
There's a private landing strip owned by the Peppermill just a few miles from the Casino. There's a courtesy phone there if I recall to call for a free shuttle to the hotel. Not much else there. The last time I landed there was at about 12 years ago. I'm sure they've improved it since then.
On the Utah side, there's an airport in St. George. There's an FBO with services where you can rent a car. I've seen puddle jumpers landing there but I'm not sure of the name.
Majors serve both Las Vegas and Salt Lake, but driving distance is substantial. Car rentals in LV are cheap but the tax will kill ya. It runs far more than the car.
