Problem, we have a Houston.
And how. Do we just call a mechanical to have Ash change to the street tires so she can run SK2L while Will and Paul are running HS in the third group? God knows just having her run in the 4th group with me in SK2 would make sense but since early or late changes are specifically prohibited...
She could always run SK2 open.. you afraid she's gunna beat ya curt?

Yes...er...I mean, she's running for SK2L points for the season. It's her class. Yeah, that's it...

I'm assuming the run groups weren't planned to be as posted.

Most likely a remnant of 3 years ago or so.

Prep and Mod cars first heat according to the schedule, what about a prep car that usually run in PAX.

Tom T. is doing course. Last year we had the lights around the outside. I think the year before we had the lights gathered in the center of the course, shining out. Seems like that works better for not having the lights in your eyes.

Opinions?

They will draw and quarter you onsite if you attempt the ladies class breakout again. Ask me how I know.

Eight groups aren't going to fly at the NOTLD.

PAX should be with preps and mods. Its obvious, but the initial fight in that was about personalities and not reason. Tom is more sensible and will "get it" I'm sure.

I don't have a bone in any of this. I'll be at the only West Coast National Tour event other than San Diego. Sadly this year we conflict with Packwood in August and THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS in September.

Huh??? What conflict? The Sept. CSCC event is @ the end of the month, 10 days after Topeka.

You missed the meeting Bill and the calendar hasn't been updated.

We lost the date. And El Toro is booked that month. So we're back at the old conflict date we had in the beginning of the year. Not really a choice as it was presented. We don't have a September date that can avoid Topeka.

I understand. Still sucks.

!!!

A little communication about this would've been nice (not getting on your case here, Steve).

So, the 6th-7th is not possible either? Or how about the 20th-21st? The 20th-21st would make a crappy bonzai run back for the Thur./Fri. Nats. people, but it it is possible.

It just is not right to schedule one of our Champs. @ the same time as the National Championships for our sport.

How about the end of Aug. @ El Toro (cooler @ El Toro that time of year) - there's plenty of precedent for two events in one month followed by none the next.

Since we started using the new forums we seem to have forgotten to update a few things on the main solo2.com site. Could someone please update the Calander so that we know what is going on.

I agree that sucks, that'll give me 1 more missed event than drops available, which should lose me 2nd in STU for the year. Had the year Calc'd out based on the calendar, but it is what it is.

Anyone attending Nationals will get their average for the CSCC event in September, so no need to take a drop.

If you have a crappy avg. but good results w/drops (me) an avg. really becomes a drop. Again, it makes NO sense to schedule one of our races @ the same time as Nationals.

And again, is there a problem in scheduling a second event in late Aug.? It would also be a nice way to tune up for Nats.

Also, if you don't want to loose the date in Sept., make it a school - we need one of those (in addition to the Ladies School in Nov.) anyway.

I don't quite get your math. Your average will never be less than your two worst events.

And I'd like to point out that the 'No sense' is your opinion from your perspective, not a fact.

Steve:

Being that I posted the minutes from our secretary (Tom Phillips - No$), I read them and I did see that comment about the dates but as far as the calendar is concerned, there technically isn't a conflict. I see the dates as Sept. 27-28th (an E-Board practice/champ event). So if someone could tell me what the actual date is for Sept then I'll update it.

From the Committee meeting minutes:
Lot Chair:
The current date at AutoClub Speedway for September coincides with National’s. The Speedway and El Toro have already booked all other dates for September. The lot chair is still looking. If no other location is available, those members going to Nationals can use their average for this event

Unfortunately, the minutes don't have any dates, as Gio points out. [Not criticizing Tom P., he's new in the job.]
