Yeah!!! With some luck, Jordan & I will have some new stickies mounted. :D I'm definitely going to take a few laps this time around. Also, trying to get my old kart together for Kylie to run. Heard there was going to be a dedicated FJ track :?: Kylie loves Indoor karting (Pole Position in Corona). Trying to see if she's up for a bit more NOISE!!!!

No, Mako -- you do NOT need to supercharge your new Miata! ...cuz now it's my turn to take it to the track :)
hmmmm... it is no longer "new" -- is it time to get faster?

So again another newbie question. If I don't get selected (I am pretty far down on the list) to run the practice, can I come out work a shift or two to see the course? I realize it won't be exactly like Sunday, but I a still watching technique and so the work sessions are instructive.

Come on out and get ride alongs, those are free.
Talk to the worker chief about going out on course first.

hmmm ... wrote this at the same time as Pete's Reply ... but it didn't get sent ... until now.

Definitely come out and get rides with us. It's a Practice so folks are use to giving rides. Anyone without a passenger ... just ask, and ask. You'll get plenty of rides and it will definitely help know the course on Sunday even though the course will be reversed. You can learn a lot watching and feeling another drivers inputs instead of piloting a car yourself.

If you can come out on Friday afternoon you can help and learn about course set-up ... again giving you a heads up. If you're around Saturday late afternoon, you might be able to help reverse the course.

Don't worry about Friday ... but typically the course set-up crew meets at around 1 PM

Note that the Porsche Club of America is also using El Toro on Sunday ...

If you don't make it into the Practice ... CONSIDER THIS ...

If you come out to SUNDAY'S CSCC Race ... you can get an Instructor Run (Instructor driving your car) plus 3X Race Runs. If you sign up early enough on Sunday morning, you can get 3X more X Runs for another $25, WITHOUT having to work a 2nd shift, plus there is a good chance that we will have either FREE or very inexpensive ($2/run) FUN RUNS.

If you pre-register on-line ... see link at the bottom of Sunday's Flyer ... your basic race runs are $30. If you register on site Sunday morning, the same costs you $40.

FUN RUNS are never guaranteed. If there are enough delays to slow down the event, we might not be able to have Fun Runs.

For $55 to $65 you could get 6 to 10 or more runs on Sunday.

Mako's math is hurting my head. So, just to clarify:

$30 (or $40 if you're not pre-registered) 3 regular runs
$25 X-runs
$25 second set of X-runs (if they are available)
Potential fun runs

For the people on the waitlist, any chance of walk ups/standby list on Saturday? Or should they not even bother?

I ask because each club seems to handle this differently.

QV ... YOU are Jonathan H's split entry partner ... forgot to add you to the list. Sorry ... remember your $10 tip, I mean Split Entry bonus fee!

Yes, walk ups will be considered to bring us up to 80 entries on Sat. morning (we're accidentally over 80 at the moment) ... and I know at least two folks who plan on being there early to get on the Stand By list, in case we have some no shows.

New Hoosiers - very cool. Our Kumho's showed up, Jordan was completely surprised :D
Unfortunately, while performing a bit of pre-race prep we've discovered an oil leak. Not sure yet if it's the rear main seal. May have to pull an all-niter to be ready for Saturday :x

Event is slightly over prescribed ... very little chance of getting in tomorrow morning ... we could use a couple of no shows to keep us at the limit that Seb requested. Thanks

SEE YOU ON SUNDAY if you didn't get into the practice ... see my message above about getting extra runs on Sunday
