July 17th-18th PSCC Practice/Championship

Post by Rick Brown »

We are about to test a different online registration system, hopefully it will be ready later today. Please watch this thread for an update.

In the mean time, here's the run order: http://members.quixnet.net/free2000/7-18RunOrder.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
This is a rotation from the May event since the Divisional was a special event.

Practice Flyer is up at: http://tinyurl.com/y3hms4k" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Current Entries: https://www.motorsportreg.com/index.cfm ... 8EE62EA6E5" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Registration is now open on MotorsportsReg.com => http://solo2.MotorsportReg.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This should be easier than our other system, let's see if you all can figure it out without any help :shock:
Other payment methods besides PayPal are available.

You will have to create a MotorsportsReg account if you don't already have one.

registered. I already had a motorsportreg account with my SCCA membership data. However upon checking out it said i had to register for a weekend SCCA membership :unimpressed: ... not sure how that is. I opted to pay at the event, i hope no one else has the same issue.

I had the same/similar issue. Registered before for whatever event we or someone else had w/ my SCCA #. Even filled out a new one.

"Registration Fee requires Weekend SCCA Membership For the membership to be valid, your name must be identical (no spelling changes or nicknames; Thomas is not the same as Tom) to what is on file with SCCA and expire after 07/18/2010. The membership number must match exactly and it must be in good standing. If you believe this message is an error, contact the registrar or membership staff to determine the cause of the issue."

I'm going to hold off registering in hopes that it was either something I didn't do right or something on the site needs to be fixed for future registrations.

Other than that, everything is pretty smooth, tho some features that were suppose to be prefilled (as noted on the site or intuitively), such as car # & trophy choice, were not prefilled - at least when I was going through the process.

Hey, I don't know if anyone else had this problem, but it is forcing me to buy an SCCA weekend membership. Heck, I already have one. :lol:

But besides that, this is a whole lot easier so far. :thumbup:

Re the SCCA weekend membership. I forgot to get the code needed to validate SCCA numbers so it can't do it I guess. Probably have to wait until Monday. :( Maybe there is a way to turn the validation thing off. I'll look.

OK, I think validation is turned off now. Looks like you can go back and pay using the Dashboard for the event. Still learning how it works myself.

Rick, can you check if my registration went through? It's shown in my Registration History under My Account, but I'm not listed on the current registration list.

BTW, I opt to pay at the event.

Works fine now, thanks Rick.

One minor "bug" I found:

- The entry list does not reflect the latest changes you do after the 1st time you register

i.e.

- You can go back and update/change your registration (change your Sponsor, Car #, Car, Class, etc), and it will save in the database (i.e. you can update/change it again), but it doesn't change the Entry List/Event Status page; at least when I was testing it (clearing cache, using different browsers).

It definitely looks prettier than AXWare, but it will take a little getting used to.

Ok now I'm on the list, but in the wrong class. Am I supposed to enter FS under "Class" and SK1 under "PAX"? I do see SK1 as a selection under "Class".

Yes. Oops forgot to remove the indexed classes from "Class". They do indexing in what I find to be a strange way. I'm likely going to have to massage the data to get it to import correctly.

Theresa and I seemed to work our way through registration without any problems - only a few comments... edits to registrations may not appear right away but they do show up
AND
the registration list shows me as Group 5, but the run/work order link in this thread shows that I run in Group 1.

Newbie - Confused About Registration

Post by Mike Wilkinson »

The CSCC Solo Event Page for the July 17 event says that entries should be mailed to Rick's address, and I sent a $55 check and other info on July 5. Should I also register online?

The event page also says that a lottery to pick entrants will be held on July 10 (today). At this time I don't even know if I am eligible to register online.

I would appreciate some advice. Thanks!

The checks sent to Rick's address are for the 7/17 practice.

The online registration is for the 7/18 championship.

Register online if you wish to run Sunday's event.

Mike,

The online registration is for Sunday the 18th. There is no cap to the number of entrants on Sunday so you are guaranteed a spot.

Saturday is a private club practice. If it doesn't sell out, surplus spots will be raffled from the checks that were sent in. If you don't get in, your check will be shred.

If you're unfamiliar with autox, be sure to get in touch with a novice coordinator at the site. They can answer your questions and get you started on the right foot. Actually, any of us can help, just ask. Don't be shy.
