What's The Most Fun You Can Have Autox'ing?

Post by George Schilling »

ANSWER: The Pro Solo format is BY FAR the most fun you can have autoxing. I've talked to many of you who are new to the sport about this and many have signed up. If I haven't spoken to you personally, let me tell you what you'll miss if you decide not to join us.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL MISS IF YOU DON'T SIGN UP NOW! The Pro Solo format combines the best of drag racing and autox. Competitors will line up side by side and stage, just like at the drag strip. Your heart will begin to pound as you watch the count down on the timer. Once timer hits zero, you'll rev your engine and prepare for launch. Yellow, yellow, yellow, better drop the clutch, green, and you're smoking the tires trying to get the best 60' launch you can, Once at the 60', you'll split off onto mirrored autox courses and race to the finish. WOW!

EXPERIENCE DOESN'T MATTER! Whether your new to autox or not, this is a blast. Since this only comes around LOCALLY once a year, I'm sorry I missed my first opportunity to experience Pro Solo Racing. I used to think regular the regular autox format was the most addicting form of autox'ing. Man was I wrong.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR! The dates are April 8, 9, & 10. Friday the 8th consists of explaining the format to new folks, making practice starts, a welcome BBQ provided free of charge where you'll meet fellow competitors and chat about your launch times, followed by two days of racing on Saturday and Sunday. All this for only $99. WOW again! Did I mention FREE FOOD?

YOU HAVE TO HURRY! Early entry deadline is Friday March 25, 2011. After that the price will go from $99 to $135, so please get your entry in right away.

IF YOU DON'T DO ANOTHER AUTOX THIS YEAR, DON'T MISS THIS ONE! SEE YOU THERE.

Kid Conemangler and I did a quickie Disneyland visit before an El Toro event last year. That was pretty cool. Parked the rig in the Pinocchio lot (freaking out some of the parking lot cast members).

For those that don't know, the Evo Hole Shot program is designed to help those who are relatively new to ProSolo understand how the event runs, as well as give them some "no pressure" time at the tree with some of our National level staff. At $25, this is truly an unbelievable value. There are a limited number of spots available so get you reservation in NOW! This is the perfect prelude to the BBQ that follows where you can talk about your experience with fellow classmates.

Thanks George!

We do a similar program for the National Tour, called the Evo Advantage:

For anyone doing their first ProSolo, this is a must! It makes you feel much more comfortable and lets you focus your energy and stress on driving, rather than what procedural thing you might screw up.

Eight on Saturday, four on Sunday morning and at least one more Sunday afternoon if you make it in to any of the challenges.
