August 13-14 El Toro Hosted By: E-Board - Volunteers Needed

Post by Sebastian Rios »

Hey all! The hot days of Summer are upon us, but all the cool kids will be at the last event before the SCCA Solo Nationals. If you want to be even cooler than the cool kids, volunteer to help organize! :P

I need chiefs for the following.
Workers: Renee Angel
Tech: Lily Liu
Gate: Kurt Rahn

The chief position counts as your work assignment for the weekend, and guarantees entry into the practice. The Tech and Gate chiefs will be allowed to designate helpers who will also be exempt from course work, but should coordinate with the Worker Chief to make sure those designees receive proper credit for fulfilling their work requirement.

Thanks!

Edit: Also need a licensed Youth Steward.

Do the chiefs have to be in the region?

Also, when can we sign up for the weekend? We're planning to head down for this. :D

Thanks Lily and Kurt.

Mack: Since the open spot is Worker Chief, I think it should really be filled by someone in our region. One must be familiar with who has the skills to fill the key positions. The event will be active on Motorsports Reg early next week, but you can probably go ahead and make plans now. ;)

I have very fond memories of a course Will Kalman and I co-designed at Hollywood Park. He started at one end and I started at the other, and we met in the middle. :-)
I think my half was the start on Saturday and his half was the start on Sunday... But I could have that backwards.

I can be youth steward one or both days, unless Steve wants it, since they're usually pitted at the Jr course.

Hey guys, I posted on the practice thread that unfortunately I'm going to have to cancel, so the chief of tech position is open. Any takers? I've already lined up QV for tech worker on Sunday morning, 7 - 9 AM.

Put me on the helper list. A Mike and KJ design will be epic and a good opportunity to learn a thing or two.

If someone hasn't volunteered already, I can take over chief of tech. Just pm me details.

Will and I will setup and handle the kidlet course if that can be our work assignment on Saturday (we only have one entry, so its one worker slot).

I'm assuming there is setup going on this afternoon, correct? Was planning on going over to do the motor home and lights.
