2nd SCCA Time Trial @ Buttonwillow May 19-20

Post by Toby Larsson »

The second time trial of 2012 will be held at Buttonwillow on May 19&20.

$125.00 for one day or $200.00 for both days.

Any car that can pass a solo tech, prepared up to and including Street Prepared is ok, cars prepared beyond SP (SM, P M etc) must be able to pass roadrace tech (cage fire system drivers gear etc).

Should be lots of open track available, right now only Jeff Stuart is signed up, he's not used to open tracks afer running Lemons so he needs company :D

Wednesday is last day to register.

How does it work if your car is technically a Prepared car but is entirely street legal? Going over the rules it looks like my car would fall under PDX which means it should be okay without the road race tech but I don't want to invest that much time to fail tech over a technicality.

Call or email Roy and he can let you know what you need to do, he's a really nice guy and would love to see more people from the auto-x community try the TT's.

I think they are mostly concerned with someone showing up with a 1500lb tubeframe car on slicks and 700hp and no safety gear, I don't think you fall into that category

These events also counts as experience towards getting a roadrace license if anybody is considering getting one.
