Palero Wang motorcycle accident
From posts overnight on FB, it sounds like Mike Palero and Patty Wang got hit on their bikes last night by some doof making a left turn. Sounds like they are at Huntington waiting on tests. Mike is still posting so at least the internet-interface part of his brain (if not his spelling center) appears undamaged . posting.php?mode=post&f=6#" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Consider this info preliminary. I suspect we will get more info shortly.

Bike = accident, sooner or later
Re: Palero Wang motorcycle accident
That's what all the riders tells me every time I get the urge to get a bike Plus personally I've had many close calls with bikes in my blind spot on the freeway.Mako Koiwai wrote:Bike = accident, sooner or later
Wishing you a quick recovery guys.

Patty and Mike have both been released from the hospital and are now home resting. I'm sure Mike will post an update when he gets the chance. They are pretty banged up (especially Patty), but It could have been much much worse.

Serious is subjective. Damage may not "serious" but it can hurt for a long time and affect you forever. I know about long term pain from motorcycle hits.y George Schilling on 31 Aug 2012 17:45

Re: Palero Wang motorcycle accident
Patty and I are alive, and according to X-Rays and CT scans, have no broken bones.
Though Patty's shoulder/rib feels fractured according to her.
She's broken multiple bones and dislocated her neck jumping horses, so she has an idea what broken bones feel like.
Me on the other hand.... The worst accident I've had was falling on my face at a ProSolo awards ceremony.
Patty's got some super high pain tolerance, and I'm a little girl.
Even though Patty toughs pain out like Superwoman, this is the first time I've seen her in this much pain.
Turning in bed, swinging legs out of bed and walking to the restroom are all slow, painful movements.
It's day 4 after the accident, and more aches and pains are showing up.
People from the CSCC family have been helping us. I'm happy this is such a good group of people.

Patty and Michael,
I am sorry to hear that you were in such a serious accident. I am glad that the accident wasn't any worse (meaning you are both alive and I will see you again) and that you are both home!
I am sorry to hear that Patty ended up with so many broken bones and that she is in so much pain. That's really rough.
I wish you both a rapid recovery and no lingering affects on your health!
Take care of yourselves.
