Yeah, karts are a blast, but if you weigh more than about 120 pounds, weight just kills you.

Karts weigh around 200, minimum weight (with stock ignition) is 385 with driver. With programmable ignition, 420.

If you ever need a co-driver to make a class in the future, just let me know. :-D

I was considering a TAG too, but ran into the no class available, and stopped looking.

At National events, they weigh you AFTER you run, so that could be a problem. Ask me how I know.......

Remember - water weighs 8#s per gallon. And in a pinch you can drink a lot of water. Sometimes while they make you make you wait for the scales. Or a second time on the scales....

TaG's are eligible in F125, just to be clear (they aren't competitive because of the standing starts in Solo and some tight corners). But you're right in that there is no class specific for TaG's only (i.e. no other karts allowed such as shifters).

You can lead a kart driver to water, but you can't make him drink.

You guys are killing me! I did figure that out - after the fact. Actually kind of stressful when you are told you may be disqualified for 1 pound light. They certainly gave me plenty of tries to pass, including several locations on the scale and letting a few cars get weighed then trying again. All that time with a water cooler sitting there and I didn't even think of it............
