Any updates on this? I've heard it now from two sources. Why swap and who decides and when?

We have officially secured the second weekend for the Pro at El Toro - March 28th and 29th. Hopefully S.D. doesn't have a problem securing March 21st and 22nd. That's the "official" date published by the SCCA... as of today anyway.

Though I'm not really sure why they didn't do the western championship in the West.. 1200miles from Seattle, 900 miles from here. That Alameda site looks pretty big and central on the west coast, 330 miles from Seattle, 450 miles from here. Though I guess they did the same, ingore that the US population is concentrated on the coasts, for the eastern Championship too. I mean.. do we really need to cater to the people in the center of the country given that they get <500 mile drives to Nationals?

Duh. Big Bear, 6750'.

Or just get some restrictor plates for the non-turbos.

I think the bay area is like 800 miles from Seattle, not 330 :unimpressed:

He just thinks Seattle is just across the California state line... in Oregon.

What I don't get about this site is that it's an active airport and doesn't appear big enough like Stead in Reno or Atwater to accommodate both.

The announcement stated the airport will be shut down for repairs, so this may be a one time opportunity.

Ah! Cool! Now if we could only get it scheduled for early April, I could get my dream - ski and AX on the same day! :) (almost did that @ Bremerton one year: skied @ Mt. Hood on Thurs., Bremerton National Tour Test 'n Tune Friday).

That would have been really easy at our April packwood event, White Pass is only 30 minutes up the road, and it snowed on us during the event...
