Someone's gotta case of the Wednesdays

Post by Curt Luther »

I hate Wednesdays. Mondays are a frickin' cakewalk compared to my Wednesdays. I have two meetings that blow half of my day. I then spend the other half of the day answering phone messages and e-mails that I got while I was in the meetings. Stuff I could have handled on the fly now becomes an ordeal.

Really jacks with my post count...

Yeah, I lost a whole hour on an SAE conference call. Now I'm playing catchup.

Oh, right, this was at lunchtime.

The rest of the day has been unremarkable. :)

Back to this. Since 4/4/06, I have had three, good 'ol, fast food, cheeseburgers:

1. 9/15/06 - Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger from Carl's Jr. on my way back from SD. Day before my daughter's birthday and the weekend of the failed first attempt at a CSCC Solo wet t-shirt contest.
2. 3/27/08 - Bacconator from Wendy's. The guys on rr-ax.com kept posting about it so I broke down and got one on a Friday.
3. 5/03/08 - Double Cheesburger from McDonalds. Went to get my daughter dinner before a circus performance. I could have sworn I ordered a 6 pc. McNuggets for myself (6 WW points) but when I opened the bag, there was the cheeseburger (11 WW points). It's what I really wanted, I might have even ordered it, but I dunno.

This is pathetic on many levels. One, that I remember the dates. Well, they're written in my food journals so they're not completely burned in, but I do remember the burgers vividly. Two, is that in the good 'ol days, I would have had this many burgers in one day. Hell, some days, I would have had them by lunch.

Hide the kittens...

I had a meeting today with a woman trying to sell me marketing materials. I noticed that she wore a low cut top and for some reason had to keep bending over to get more examples of the materials she was trying to sell. I also noticed that she was at least an F-Cup (I don't really know cup sizes, what is "bigger than my head"?)
I think she could have easily put her case on my desk but chose to bend over instead. HMMMM.

I didn't work though I don't think I'll buy her stuff.

Shrewd negotiating, Seb. Make her come back with a better presentation. }:)

Am I the only one who read "I think she could have easily put her case on my desk " as "I think she could have easily set them on my desk" before actually reading the whole sentence? ;)

If she had, there would have been no room left for the items she was trying to sell...or my computer, or my inbox, or stapler etc. :D

Certainly not without a thong show. I just don't understand sales women that think they can close the deal without it. What was she thinking?

I'm guessing Shauna knows better than to read these forums.

Curt, the Carl's near me is selling Western bacon cheeseburgers 2 for $4. I've already had three of those and the $6 version in the last week. I hate being unemployed; I always gain weight. :x

Me neither, and I'm usually content with a bite of someone else's, but damn, that bite is good :)

What is there besides food, girls, and cars? Oh right, shoes!!!

And puppies!

Maybe we should start a thread about shoes, puppies, and the color pink

I wear shoes and have three dogs, but I don't think that thread would interest me much. Time for a burger. :D

..and I need a new pair of Jungle Mocs. I can't decide between:
