I don;t know, it was fun running with them though. It sounded awesome.
He missed the corner going back into the infield and I got past him while he was turning around.
Not often one gets to pass a car like that:)

That looks like a blast! What do they tell you about passing and racing wheel to wheel? It looks like it was mostly lead-follow, but there was some passing. That could get a little sketchy if people don't have the experience to pull it off. Is there some sort of restriction?

Re: Speed Ventures Track Day
Good question.
they have run groups, the more experienced groups pass anywhere with no contact allowed.
The intermediate groups pass on a point by basis only, kind of a courtesy thing, if they catch you, point them by, any where on the track.
The beginner groups are passing point by on the straights only.
So far so good, I have run with them 4 times with no issues.
They have download sessions after each run group and talk about who is doing the right thing and who may be doing something dangerous.
That have alot of openings at upcoming events and are looking for people to run. it is a great way to get track time and higher speeds. Usually 5 run groups of about 20 minutes.
