ST Drivers..any interest in going to PAX?

Post by Jason Flores »

Calling ST drivers!!!
AKA 1989-1991 Honda Civic Drivers!!!

Any interest in running PAX this year?

Just a thought...Discuss Pro-cons..do we even have a chance?

-index sucks?
-it would water down the rest of STS
-too crowded in PAX already?

No reason really just wondering why not many people from ST(s) run PAX...

..Ive seen a few groups like Frank, Smith, et al run PRO classes in their local events

I gotta say.. if you get 2nd/3rd at nationals in a class like ST(STS), yeah you should probably run PAX and quit killin the open class.. but then again I know the folks in ST like the competition and I don't think anyone has complained about it.

Jeff W. and Nicole the latest to buy a STS Civic ! ... going to be such a great class. Love to see Ken re-join the frey ... and where's Eric Sung ?! Perhaps there should be a Varsity Pax STS group and then the Jr. Varsity, regular STS Class ... they can still compare times ... usually. Of course you have Shauna in PAXL ... maybe Nicole will join her there?

Why run PAX when I can run ST with national level competition?

If you guys all move to PAX I will too, but I don't see the need when we have a healthy class now.

ST really doesn't seem to be one of those classes new folks accidentally prep their cars for, so you probably aren't scaring anyone off that didn't know what they were in for in ST.

Other regions suck.

Unless it rains. ST isn't going to do much exciting in Pax.

this post is not directed at you Jason even though it's in your post that I'm quoting.

Palero....get over it! You didn't get your number, 'nuff said. Stop whining about it. There were very few 2-digit numbers that were available in 2009 that went to members that have been here longer than you. If you have complaints about it, it is the Solo Committee/Executive-Board who came up with this decision not me. I'm just the 'frontman'.

Sorry for going off-topic on your thread Jason F.

It's "Palero" not Palermo and yes he competes in SK2 (not sure of the class index; perhaps GS or HS)

He was kidding, Gio. And, yeah, Palero normally uses the GS or DS indices.

Trolled!

Back on topic: We are very lucky here to have a strong ST class and an all year schedule. It was that way when I ran STX and now it continues in ST. With this much competition and cooperation, the sky is the limit! :gpower:

Hey Jason,

You might want to tell your co-driver to change his registered class for Sunday's champ. :geek:

So speaking of the Allstar civic....

If you guys are using the same set of magnetics as last year, can you use the big bubbly 8 as the last number that way we can tell the difference between the 8 and the 6 }:)

I forgot to get a hold of Gunnar about some additional numbers.... Which means I'm cutting out a Dr. Suess "2" out of Orange Duct Tape for Tadd. I'll try to make it readable. Hopefully just for an event or two until I can get the "hookup".... Oh wait.... I have some left over orange vinyl.... Maybe it won't be that bad. I put the vinyl on the magnetic, then print out a Dr. Suess 2 of the right size and trace it with my mini roller cutter.
