Oh yeah! Thank goodness. And since it's a Berry running tech and it's a CASOC event, I know she'll rule with an iron fist wrapped in a velvet gloveChristine Berry wrote:Don't worry Rick, I'm chief of tech for this event. }:)Rick Brown wrote:Be nice if Tech actually enforced the SCCA rules regarding numbers and didn't let people through with unreadable numbers......... :unimpressed:

Yeah, I know, and I agree. Technically the paper numbers we hand out aren't to the letter of SCCA rules if I recall, but they are readable. The SCCA rules just give us the authority to be mean to peopleSteve Ekstrand wrote:We can't really enforce the letter of the SCCA rules... We can demand that stuff be readable.
Maybe we can hire a Catholic school nun or brother to measure the numbers. Those with substandard markings get rapped on the knuckles with a stout wooden ruler. }:)Rick Brown wrote:Yeah, I know, and I agree. Yeah karts are the exception to the rule. The main problems are either too small characters or worse....non-constrasting colors. Yellow nubmers on a white backgroundSteve Ekstrand wrote:BTW-Kid Kart body work is even smaller than Cadet karts... Robert's 150 is only 4" tall. They are bold nice black letters on a white field... They just can't get any bigger and fit the kart.
Yeah......ask me how I know about the wrath of sweet Mari (hint: it was the genesis of Bill's moniker for me)Steve Ekstrand wrote:We don't need a Catholic school marm.... We have Mari Clements.
Pair of scissors, a trip to the craft store for magnetic material and some spray paint, got me through a 2007... but really buying made numbers from Jayson or Rick isn't exactly expensive. Probably cheap enough that with gas getting to the art store and supplies it's close to a push.Tito Sar wrote:So, how do I make my own class and number magnets?
Dug about 8 out of the spam. Hopefully that'll stop happening now. PM me next time you e-mail so I can check. Also, need some more info for the letters.Mako Koiwai wrote:Jayson, did you get my request for a set of SST class letters for this weekend? I don't want to do the Palero Method. :barf:
