Re: 2009 San Diego Tour Thread
I was going to be all for it... But my tires, setup, car, and skill are all sadly lacking. So, I'll lose by 8 seconds dry, 10 seconds wet. Why am I going??? Oh yeah, Bear Days at the Zoo.

279 on the reg list. What was last year 230ish? Seems like a pretty good turnout.

Re: 2009 San Diego Tour Thread
Can I register before 5PM today? I'm thinking of going to down just to get tech, stickers, registration done but I have to be back in LA this evening. I don't think I'll make it in time if registration really starts at 5 like it says on the schedule.

Re: 2009 San Diego Tour Thread
You probably won't be able to register today then, they don't really tend to open registration early at the tour. But thats ok:Adrian Covert wrote:Can I register before 5PM today? Saturday
6:30am Site Opens
7am – 8am Late Check-in/Tech*
8:30am Mandatory Drivers Meeting
9am – 4pm Heat Competition
6pm - 8pm Course Open for Walking
*Pre-registered entrants only
Registration for the tour only takes a couple minutes as long as you have your license, scca card and rule book. They need to give you a barcode sticker for your helmet if you've never attended a nationals event before. If you tech today then you shouldn't have any problems with having time to register tomorrow morning.

Depending on the rain, running last might be good. If it rains Sat night through Sun morning.Kurt Rahn wrote:I'd rather be working last than running last ;)Tadd Ekstrand wrote:Pete Loney wrote:News Alert...

I want to thank Jeff Wong and Nicole Nagler for letting Shauna and I drive their car.
Jeff has done a good job getting the suspension sorted, it handles very nicely. I'm fairly clueless when in comes to setup, but still discounted Jeff's advice in the past...I won't do that any more.

Ken actually didn't wear a turtleneck either day, probably because Toyo hasn't got them back from the embroiderer yet...
Any ST guy that wants me to add my special tweak to their car (like I have done on Ken's) just lemme know

Maybe they finally took note of the winning differentials and said, ho hum ... That's not even a race! (my apologize to all of those ST guys that are trying so hard!)
