Good deal, I'll let all our local ST underachievers know about the SK1/2 provisional classes.

Half of last week's participates wouldn't run SST at the tour anyways.

(Off Topic: It seems a bunch of the CST cars from last week should be in SST normally ... maybe they only ran CST because of the Super Bowl?)

We will be able to run our local classes there also. The details on how to work it all out are being handled now. More info to follow.

On other forums it would be this: :eatpop: so maybe it'll be added to the list of smileys

Okay I'll start.

Not running the Pro series -but you want to affect challenge points for those people

How do you get a dial in on an indexed class :?:

I'm all for SK1/SK2 running the event - but not for the challenge.
Bonus challenge baby :!:

Winning car's PAX time divided by the PAX of the running car to get the "straight" time that car should have run to win it's class. The dial-in would have to be figured for each car.

Winning SK2 car = SK2(HS): 0.802 * 60 raw seconds = 48.120 PAX Time
2nd place SK2 car = SK2(ES): 0.823 * 59 raw seconds = 48.557 PAX Time

Dial-in for winning car = 60 seconds
Dial-in for 2nd place car = 58.469 (48.120/0.823) (i.e. would have to run 0.531 faster than he did in class competition to match the dial-in)

That said, local classes should not run in the Super Challenge because it upsets the points for a National series.

I think we can pretty much agree on that one.

Didn't mean to ruffle any feathers, I apologize.

Looks like I will need to get a co-drive for the Pro then. So who wants a co-driver?

Gary?

I doubt you ruffled any feathers. I just couldn't wait to see the responses to your question ;)

As for the Pro, I hope to run a car other than my own, because as you know, I broke it at a Pro once before.......

Its ST rules with a minimum weight with driver of 2360lbs.
How 'bout STSH (Street Touring Super Heavy)? Bump that driver+car weight up to 3800 pounds. I'd so own that class.
I don;t know that for sure. You would have some competition. I would go on a training diet:)

Would also effect national points.. unless you made their entries not matter... in which case, why run L.

Because the person wants to run L for the event.

Since it's a national class she'd probably have to use the national rules and I'd guess she'd probably get the stock class index she's legal for, but I have no say or foreknowledge of how it would actually work. No horse in that race.

Hey, let's get back on track here.

Less than 70 registered so far for the tour, only 2 in SK1/SK2.

Don't forget you need to register 2 weeks early to get the $90.00 price. After that is goes to $130.00

I saw that run group orders got published today, but I'm not sure with which group SK1 and SK2 run, since SKers were told to register under AM, but there also appear to be "index" classes, which I'm not familiar with. Anyone know which run/work group SK1 and SK2 are in?

I can't believe the master of disinformation hasn't chimed in here.

I have e-mailed Sandi for a clarification on IDX1, IDX2, IDX3, R classes.
I'm guessing that SK1/SK2 is in there somewhere!

It's nice to see SMF and SMFL on the run/work list.
