2008 Season Banquet Update - 2/15/09

Post by Mike Simanyi »

The calendar is updated to reflect the new banquet date - Feb 15 - and most of the details for the venue.

We will be setting up a PayPal account to register and pay for the banquet. I will post here when that is active. We are limited to only 120 seats so please keep an eye out for the announcement!

As you can see on the flyer, the restaurant is conveniently located just a couple miles from K1 in Irvine. I'd like to compile a list here of the people who'd like to run at K1, so please respond in this thread and I'll update periodically. If we get enough participants we may be able to book a track or special event with K1.

Grice, you're goin' down!

Does it work like last year solo bucks ($20) and karting included in the price?

Oh please, he's talking about his 7 year old birthday party. The first time a girl ever came over to his house.
Sadly, it scarred him for life and a Thomas the Tank Engine cake can still bring him to tears...

What time will the trophies be handed out, and what time is lunch served? Any discount if we don't eat?
We will be coming straight from SD after running in the morning, we might miss lunch, but I don't want to miss cheering for my friends.

Sorry guys, this event is being held at a restaurant, and they are charging us by the number of people that walk through the door.
If you'd like to join us, plan on enjoying some great Italian food!

So far we've got 46 adults and a handful of kids signed up for the banquet next Sunday.

If you haven't signed up yet, please do so here:

https://axwaresystems.com/axorm/calendar_main.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;?

The restaurant has requested a head count so they can prepare the correct amount of food. I need to give them a final number by the end of the day Monday, so please don't wait!

Also, if we have sufficient interest, I'll try to arrange for us to get a whole track to ourselves at K1.
Please let me know if you're interested in joining us at K1 after the banquet.

The banquet starts at Noon on Sunday, February 15th and will run to approximately 3pm. We will go to K1 directly afterwards.
