Hey Z06 guys!
Dobyns, Flaherty, Plante, etc...
2812's are the good stuff. MSRP is about $950 a shock.
Its a nitogen filled monotube race shock that works similar to Penske's and Moton's but does not require a remote reservoir. I just bought them for the Civie, so I've recently done a bit of research on them. Remote reservoir's are sexy, but have drawbacks. You'll rarely find a set of 2812's this cheap. The bump valving is digressive and handles sometimes bumpy lots like Fontana and San Diego much better than a Koni Single can.

Hmmm.
That would be my 4th brand of shock on the Z & then I'd have to hear it from JI. JUST GET UP ON THE WHEEL & DRIVE THE CAR - BOB!

Well you need a 4th set to go with which ever combination of used/new/big/small/kumho/hoosier/street tires you have on that day. But with these shocks you would have one part taken care of the right way.Bob Plante wrote:Hmmm.

Are these inverted like the 3013 or regular?
How/where do they adjust?
Adjust on/off the car?
Pull wheel?
Rebuild youself or send to Koni?
I googled but all I can find is little pics that don't show detail.

Not inverted.
Both bump and rebound adjust on top.
Send to Pro Parts or Koni
