I have to really thank Ken Motonishi for letting me borrow his wheels and tires for the front end of my car, I'm not sure mine would have survived 6 more runs. Unfortunately I wasn't able to borrow any of his talent.

Way to go dude, you took us to school, a school that I hope to learn as much as I can from.

You DID seem more relaxed on Sunday ... I think because, as you said, "we might as well just give Ken the (National) trophy." ... by resigning to that fact, perhaps you can Zen out more ... which is maybe Ken's secret ?

Another possible tip from Ken ... take naps next to other fast drivers, ie. Katy ... if Shauna is OK with that. :D

BTW, are you telling me that was the best car you could find shade under? That teeny thing? Next time you want a nap in the shade, let me know and I'll pull Moby up...we could have a company picnic under the shade he casts.

Maybe it's nice to snuggle up under a small patch of shade. ;)

The week starts today. Here's actually why I'm taking it:

Warning. There are curse words in that thread. It started before "the challenge"...

Just saw the results.....wow, not bad for Greta Garbo! :) Thanks to O'Blenes & Motonishi for riding along shotgun and reminding me to break earlier and setup the car to turn-in sooner and get on the gas later on Saturday. Your comments I translated into a 6th place showing in SK1 out 15 drivers. Top 5 cars were either a Honda S2000 or Porsche Boxster S. BMW M3 is just too HEAVY, but still fun to drive.

I think I like my new car. Pax'd 37th, w/ a cone

12th without it.

In video review, I actually was too early and turned into the second to last slalom cone on my last run. :unimpressed:

Any discussion about refunding X-Runs to the last run group?

I forgot to send KJ the data files from the event when I posted the results late last night. Will do that tonight.

My 2nd place dirty run.... In car....

Still can't figure out what cone I hit Rrrr..... Hopefully I didn't blow one over in the box, which we saw happening on Sun.

Out of car... same run.

1:30 of the second vid. You can hear the cone hit. Outside of the gate after the last "V" turn.

Good catch, what a dumb cone to hit :unimpressed: Setting up a little too much for the "V" turn I guess.

In hindsight, I had two cones in total, runs 2 and 3, both of them were just me driving with too much grip and not enough talent yet, a good problem to have!!

Good one Greg!

But let me ask the Civic Bastards ... was that Pin Corner on the Tom Berry course back in February also a V corner for you guys? On Saturday at that event I noticed the fast fellows going straight to the first of the two Apex cones, but on Sunday, it seemed that Wide Tight was the preferred line when there was only one Apex cone left? I would think that a good power to weight ratio car would take a more direct line, while a speed maintenance car would desire a longer faster line ?
