hey Mako. Sorry i couldn't get to drive the miata for the photo you were looking for. I promised Jason that we'd try and sort things out with his car and his ecu. And trust me, I would LOVE to drive your miata. Those cars are too fun. Let me know whenever you need something like that again. I would love some pics of me spinning out a miata. lol :gpower:

Note to Karen ... do NOT let Jonathan flat spot our tires, ie. drive Charlene. ;)

Jeff did one lap in our Miata, and beat my best time by something like 0.5 seconds! Not sure how he cheated, but I think the car needs more mods. Actually, he should be ashamed he wasn't even faster! :unimpressed:

lol
good times in the miata on all season threads
your steering ratio felt twice as quick and responsive as my slow manual rack. it was like insta steer . maybe we can do some runs together saturday. did lowering the rear help rear traction?

you should also try the mr2 if you want. quite a different feel
btw the soft blurred back rounds in those few pics you posted are very cool!

Nice pics! I'll get some of mine up later hopefully. Not much tho, I was seduced by a black 911 SC parked on the side and began shooting that instead.

None of my 247 blue Z06 Z16?

Maybe I can photoshop some silver wheels & a stripe on that other blue Z06 that has about 50 pics.

Sorry Bob ... didn't get any shots while Karen and I were running ... I'll try to get you next time. Doesn't hurt to remind me ... that you want special attention at events.

A behind-the-scenes FYI to everyone:
  • This event, I did ask if my work assignment could be spotting Mako. Alas, at this event they were unable to accomodate that request... and they really did need workers & couldn't substitute that. But to everyone involved in organization for our events -- please note my spotting him does result in more and better photos. It is NOT a way of getting out of work, trust me -- I do more than just spot, I also assist with equipment and provide comments (although safety is first - which does require constant attention).
  • Absolutely, do communicate -- if you let us know what evidence you are looking for with car setup, or the type of shot etc... we will see what we can do.
  • At some events Mako is out there shooting for media so satisfying that committment takes priority. This event he had to try & get coverage of Porsches.
  • Mako puts a lot of hours into the processing, etc. He really doesn't make much on the photos posted but if you place an order he corrects the photo that you purchase. Team Blew members get a discount.
No, Mako -- you do NOT need to supercharge your new Miata! ...cuz now it's my turn to take it to the track :)
hmmmm... it is no longer "new" -- is it time to get faster?
