Weather report? Some of the results look strange (like GS open barely faster than SK2 on index).

Re: SCCA - San Diego National Tour (Round 2) Results
I wasn't there but I know up in LA it was overcast all day but definitely NO rain. Maybe rain in SD but it was forecasted for Sunday.
Re: SCCA - San Diego National Tour (Round 2) Results
Ryan Buetzer came in 7th in C stock?!? Wha'ppen?
Also, good to see so many entries for SK2...but a bummer to see CalClub got our clocks cleaned.

Re: SCCA - San Diego National Tour (Round 2) Results
And where were all the SK1 folks? It was me and Ian from SD. I'm glad I'm leading but .............
The course is tight, lots of slow corners, and the longest straight was up hill. Lots of punishment for mistakes but no real rewards. They made a minor change in the course after first group because of pavement breakup. Weather wasn't much of a factor. Although, the rain and wind are expected by 10am on Sunday.
Still beats working......

Re: SCCA - San Diego National Tour (Round 2) Results
Weather today was good. Can't compare PAX or raw between the heats though. There was a course change after Heat 1 that made it a little faster and then a change in Heat 4 to the finish that made it much faster.

Re: SCCA - San Diego National Tour (Round 2) Results
I'm shocked...until I saw who beat him and by how much. Jeff Cawthorne from SD (also BMWCCA instructor) is very fast, no slouch and differential was 7 HUNDREDTHS of second (0.070) so it's not like Ryan got blown away. They're both top drivers. Just surprising that Jeff was in C-Stock instead of A-Stock with his Honda S-2000 as opposed to a Mazda Miata.Mako Koiwai wrote:Ryan 2nd 2day - he wasn't happy

You are correct...but the link on SCCA says "FINAL" so I'm sure the PDF will be updated but the link will be the same. Give it a few more hours.Reijo Silvennoinen wrote:Those are not the final results - only Sunday morning.....AS for instance is missing.

Re: SCCA - San Diego National Tour (Round 2) Results
I have seen it happen once (now twice), but only on paper - three years ago at Nationals. Ryan drove his dad's MR2 Spyder in C-stock and lost to Kevin Deitz, who was driving a Pontiac Solstice.Kurt Rahn wrote:I was gonna say...I don't think I've ever seen him finish anywhere but first.Bob Beamesderfer wrote:Results show Buetzer in P1. Re: SCCA - San Diego National Tour (Round 2) Results
For those of you not at the Tour... or not paying attention.... there was some incredible driving this last weekend.
Ken Motonishi - In what basicly amounts to a spec. class takes that huge class by 2.5 seconds! Very impressive
Joey Schilling- Clobbers AS by 2.7 seconds ? Wow.
Brian Heitkotter- Another spec. class, cleans everyones clock by over 2 seconds.
Max Hater- comes from being down the first day by a fair amount to take STU by over a second, dispite having a pink fairy sticker on the wing !
Lots of Cal Clubbers did very well this weekend !

Ryan had his alien powers intact... he was just driving the wrong car. Put him in a MSR, and he likely would have also won by 2 seconds.Mako Koiwai wrote:Ryan B. was missing his Alien Powers ... I think we know who took them! Joeeeeeeey!

Yup ... he won Nationals last year with a MS-R ... said it was so much easier to go fast with it compared to the '99.
