i have a 91 mr2 sitting in the garage that i finally got the title back from the DMV.. aside from the completely stock (and worn) suspension, and the leaky oil pan, and busted radiator (which i have a replacement for), the car's actually pretty fun.. }:)

I was looking at the Road One auction site, and I think I found an idea :ibrightdea: for a great "theme" type car. Ian stated that to get in to the event, we really need to have a gimmick or some type of edge that makes us stand out. In the auction photos I saw a 1979 Black Pontiac Trans Am. It's the one with the 6.6L V-8 (not sure if it has turbo or not) and it's just like the car driven by Florida State Alum Burt Reynolds in the "Smokey and the Bandit" movies. Our attire could be like the Bandit 8-) (Burt) jeans, cowboy shirts, boots and hats, with fake or real mustaches; and maybe have one person dress like Sheriff Buford T. Justice :x (Jackie Gleason). Jamie could dress up like Carrie :gpower: (Sally Field), or like the Bandit too. We could also use the 1980s yuppie cars (BMWs, Audis, and Volvos) and dress up like yuppies 8-) with Izod shirts and khaki pants (we would wear the clothes and just put on the driving suits over the top when driving). If we get a Crown Vic or 5.0 Mustang, we could dress up like cops  , and paint the car accordingly. If we get a Caddy, or some other type of Hoopty, we could dress like 70's pimps :king: and ho's, :gpower: or gangsters (dressing like Paulie Walnuts and Silvo from the Sopranos would be hilarious). We could get any diesel and convert it to a bio-diesel (or even CNG if it is legal under the rules and cheap enough to do), and use my Pickens Plan  materials for decoration. I'm not sure what we could do for costumes we could use for this concept, maybe we could dress sort of like hippies :ugeek: . It's just a few ideas  for now, and I can come up with many more with more time.
