I think the best part about the new place is the 5 min commute.
If you had asked about the TV 4 months ago, we probably would have said yes, but now we are covered

Those of you who set your dvr/vcr to record Practice 2 this morning might be shocked to find the first hour is Pinks. Speed sent the wrong info to most cable/satellite providers. The channel continues to suck more ever year since Fox bought it, with idiotic reality shows in stead of real racing. :barf:

How do you do that, Tom? Where in the keyword search on my DVR does it say "use Speedtv.com? }:) }:) I know how to search for Formula One, Formula 1, Grand Prix, etc. I even manually set my DVR to record at 5 AM on Speed channel but if the program guide in the machine from the satellite is wrong, there isn't much that us TIVO addicted guys can do. Something in front doesn't hurt unless it makes the DVR turn off too soon. Then I'm really pissed---Tom Denham wrote:Bob Beamesderfer wrote:Those of you who set your dvr/vcr to record Practice 2 this morning might be shocked to find the first hour is Pinks. Bob I didn't have any "Pinks" on my recording. I have a "Season Pass" for "Formula One Racing" on my DIRECTV-TiVO DVR. I add 1hr extra padding to the recording. Now there are times when the Formula 1 Debrief starts 40 mins into the recording because of a pre-race show for NASCRAP but no such "Pinks".Bob Beamesderfer wrote:Those of you who set your dvr/vcr to record Practice 2 this morning might be shocked to find the first hour is Pinks. Okay that was a weird practice (lots of offs, shunts, and misleading times).
I smell another 1-2 German punch...but this time it's the 3-pointed star German team:
1. Lewis Hamilton - Vodafone Mclaren Mercedes
2. Heikki Kovaleinen - Vodafone Mclaren Mercedes
3. Kimi Raikonnen - Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro

Yeah, you mean the one that isn't part of my satellite service from which I program what I want recorded? I'm not the only one who got screwed; three pages of posts on Speed's own forum.Tom Denham wrote:Bob Beamesderfer wrote:Those of you who set your dvr/vcr to record Practice 2 this morning might be shocked to find the first hour is Pinks. BTW, F1 changed the time for practice 3 weeks ago; more than enough time for those hayseeds at Speed to send an update using their tin cans and string. Guess they must have fallen asleep by the cee-ment pond.

Re: 2008 F1 Podium Picker Challenge: British Grand Prix (Rd 9)
I have my Dish DVR setup to record all Formula One programs, but I set it manually to record what was listed as practice starting at 5 a.m. It was an hour of Pinks and the first half hour of practice, which I didn't bother with. So, what voodoo does DirecTV have that it would know that practice started at 6 a.m.? An up-to-date guide maybe? How else is the device going to figure out what's on?Giovanni Jaramillo wrote:Bob I didn't have any "Pinks" on my recording. I have a "Season Pass" for "Formula One Racing" on my DIRECTV-TiVO DVR. Rain always re-sorts the field. I would have picked differently if I'd known/checked the weather for today.
And just like quali, the results were just as unexpected.

Someone put out an APB (All-Points Bulletin). Or better yet, someone call AAA I think Ferrari needs to be "towed" back to the garage or they lost their way to Silverstone because all I can see is a grocery getter and a Civic on the podium next to Mercedes!!!!!
Race Results
