Are there any thoughts on auto crossing vis a vis having a "strong" side and weak side, ie. are drivers "better," closer, more accurate with the cone on the driver side?

Somebody smack her!

He he..... You two provided some of my work assignment entertainment on Sat., just after the slalom, you spinning out in the exact same spot two laps in a row....

Then Stacey hops in and does the SAME thing,

Hopefully you warned her about that section.

The right way through there was to brake some before the right hander, hug the right apex and get on the gas before the outside limiting cones on your right.
Only a few people got it right when I was working, Leslie, Isley, Tom B, to name a few....

When my shoulder was worse, I had a noticeable slalom limp... could turn the wheel faster left than right.
In general, I've noticed I hit far more cones with the right side of the car than the left.
And my absolute nemesis/trademark/frustration-of-my-life is hitting outside entry cones with the right rear tire. Like your video shows on my second competition run Sunday. :(

Re: Cones...2 events in a row with 3 clean runs? I must not be pushing hard enough.

Re: Strong side...I'm pretty sure in my case it's the "less weak side". Unfortunately I have a hard time with right and left (just ask Shauna) so I don't know which side is better.

Art ... bunch of videos of Marcus ... just trying to get caught with the Nationals attendee videos first (well, "sponsors" very first) ... CSCC, then the rest of the National drivers and then everyone else.

Slo Mo of his Roller Girls on Saturday could be cool! :heyes:

Judging by the heavily biased number of cone marks on the passengers side of our car, I would guess one of us gets to close on that side. :unimpressed:

I rarely have cone marks on the drivers side. Almost exclusively on the passenger side. What does it say about my driving when I get cone marks on the passenger side rear wheel?

Great videos Mako. These sorts of things are very useful to analyze what each corner of the car is doing, how the dynamic alignment is holding up, and even how well a limited slip is (or isn't) working. Also fun to see the detail in people's hand movements on the wheel.

Now we just need 'em much higher-res, with sound on the native-speed portions of video... that'd be :heyes:

I figure to hit four straight slalom cones you have to be pretty "broad".

You know, right up until that point I figured you were probably still ok. Now I think Stacey is either going to make you sleep on the couch or she will grab hold of your sholder exactly where she knows it will hurt the most. }:)
