FM 91.1

Post by Eric Clements »

Thats right 91.1 the Fontana voice of Solo (should be good for El Toro too) is up and running. CD's (Pete, your CD is still in the player)sounded great throughout the lot, announce mics need some tuning for better clairity. I couldn't speak into the mic, run out to the car and listen, run back in and adjust it, run back out to listen fast enough to hear what I said in the first place

91.1 is 91X out of San Diego. This might be a problem at El Toro. I know it comes in loud and clear in Laguna...

Shouldn't be a problem as our broadcast range is pretty limited.

The problem isn't our range, its theirs. I can pick up 91X in Pasadena. Not well, but its there.

Try "First Wave" on Sirus/XM. Channel 839 on DirectTV. That channel plays more than any show on my TV except for Hannah Montana...

The problem isn't us being able to here the broadcast but us stepping on theirs. It would be bad to overpower a licensed station. Friday when I set up the FM for AAA speedway I turned the transmit power down to where the signal was clear in the green lot but faded quickly as you left the site.

Here's how I picked 91.1.

I wonder what they use to make their determinations. If it's US license holders, that may play into it, as 91X is broadcasts out of TJ. I find the Irvine ratings most interesting as even here in Arcadia my wife receives it loud and clear most days.

Is it an issue if it's not licensed in the U.S.?

I'd guess probably not.
