Does anyone have a local source for Alumalite or Alumicor?

Post by Mike Simanyi »

I need to rebuild my splitter and spent a couple hours yesterday trying to track down Alumalite or Alumicor sheets, without luck.

Does anyone know of a local vendor who sells the stuff?

Thanks,

Mike

If a certain former SEB member's comments a couple of years ago are any indication he'd ban wings/spoilers/splitters.

Retail price - as of yesterday - was $135.79 + tax for white. It was about $175 for black. I can buy a lot of Bumper Black spray cans for $40+.

They list it as 6mm but it doesn't look like it's anywhere near that thick. It may be 4mm - I'll have to measure it.

No. They probably just use the same measuring tape the lumber industry uses where a 2x4 in the 50s and prior was was 2" x 4", but is now 1 1/2" x 3 1/2"
