I had slightly different picks for the last race; it turned out to be the same as quali order and the race went that way until 30 laps left when Glock crashed and the SC came out. Damn Toyotas.

Odds are better if you wait til after practice times are in. Not a sure thing but a little better. Sometimes fuel loads are a smoke screen but only the backmarkers can have fast times, be up in the front then fall back during the race.

I was under the assumption that picks must be in before practice, if it's before quali then that's a few more data points to add to the picks.

Hmmm.

Don
That pick qualifies as a "bonus cookie"

5 points for being on the podium
10 points for being on the podium in the right position

This is in ADDITION to his regular points. So let's say Nelson comes in 2nd. Don would get 2 points but if I determine it to be a bonus cookie then he gets 2 + 5 = 7. If Nelson comes in 3rd like Don predicts then its 5+10 (assuming none of his other picks podium at all)

I'm thinking it might rain at some point, and since passing under normal circumstances at Hungary is just short difficulty-wise of passing in Monaco, the top three qualifiers will be the top three finishers.

Lewy
Freddy (Alonso)
Kimi

I dono nuttin about free points and yet it's Gio's game to run...please be free to use your best judgement in the benevolent dictator role. (I can hear the gutteral 'muwahahahaha' from here!) About the only advice I can give is to avoid changing rules mid-season unless pret'near everyone agrees - can't imagine where I learned that tidbit.

My picks?
1) Lewis, obviously.
Then it gets much harder...and, yeah, it seems like people want to see little Piquet succeed more than pops does.
2) Kimi (okay, a safe pick but something tells me that he's gonna pull this one out of someplace dark)
3) Robert K

And something tells me that Vettel's going to get points. Anybody want to help me cut up some chestnut tomorrow?

I did recall "bonus cookies" like if someone picked an outrageous driver (i.e. Sato to podium, you'd give them some points if it actually came true). Yes I'm using my best judgement because most people are picking the status quo so no daredevils. Except maybe Seb Rios picking Seb V, Seb B. to podium :)

Okay just finished watching practice and was about to fall asleep when I realized.........I haven't put in my picks!

1. Lewis Hamilton - Mercedes
2. Heikki Kovalainen - Mercedes
3. Felipe Massa - Ferrari

Even though Renault placed in the top 5, it's just practice (probably light fuel loads). BMW is lower in the top 10. Ferrari aren't impressive but I know Renault doesn't have the pace so Massa will sneak on the podium. Lewis is on fire.

And Hamilton?? Better call AAA for that flat tire! And just like Lady Luck shone on Piquet, X-mas came early for Heikki Kovalanein! And what the HELL is a Toyota doing on the podium??? :) What a race by Timo Glock after the previous race's big shunt!

Race results:

1. Heikki Kovalainen - Mercedes
