WTB 16" Sticky Tires

I am an SCCA member in the Wichita Kansas region. I'd love to get some stickier tires to run on an 86 Camaro, but don't have the budget to spend $800 plus. I have a friend that is delivering a Datsun 510 to his son in the LA area over Christmas and dead-heading the trailer and truck back. Does anyone have any 16 " tires that would fit on 8" wheels to sell cheap or just unload? Anything that has say more than 2 Solo days tread on them is OK - I can mount tires and don't mind the work.
