Here's my first run, 51.0. Unfortunately the camera got switched into photo mode for all the subsequent runs. You'll just have to imagine the ways that the 49.4 was better.

(currently in the queue, should be ready by 9pm)

My best run, but not so good though. I really need to get a handle on this car. I didn't have a single run where I didn't go 4-wheel slide or oversteer.

Yep,I was the only BSP, even offered to buy a Cal Poly Lunch for anyone that would there BSP legal car in BSP but no one did. Your really better off running novice as you get better and you will you can run for a championship and trophies. The other guys may run a lot, may not. The best part is only your top 6 finishes count. Novice winner gets a Jacket just like the other classes. I took 4th overall and we had enough entrants that even I got a silver plate at the end of the year. Very pround of my first place, second place trophies and 4th overall silver plate.

There is another corvette running BS that could come play in BSP but wont. Sort of ashame, as he would have taken 1st this time. The other 350Z could come play and even win, but he is a top 4 car in a competitve class, I think CST.

Fortunately I don't feel bad. In my mind I am competing against ASP, and BS (the other C4 as he runs street tires but has 80hp on me). The ASP cars the GT3 Porsche's and C5 and C6 Corvettes have more engine, but it's a kick trying to at least chase their times. All the ASP drivers are experienced so my goal is to have one of my 3 laps inside their slowest championship time. Then try to get inside their two slowest times. Even better if I run well enough to have placed above last place.

I expect to get some BSP competition at Pro Solo and Divisionals.

4 wheel drift is the term I believe and oversteer can be used to advantage. :thumbup:

Here is Stacey's last competition run. 49.386 to take 3rd in STX .398 behind Jeff Wong and .280 behind Steve O'Blenes. Love her reaction when she sees the scoreboard!
A happy car owner.

Some of my fun from Saturday.

This video was early, maybe first run. I had set the tire pressure very low (where the Hoosiers used to be run) to get a feel. No grip at all. The motor ran ok, but was still off a little. http://vimeo.com/19963567" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This video was also early, perhaps the next run. I had set the pressures up a lot higher. Grip was substantially improved, but the motor was starting to go soft on me. You can see it isn't running well above 1/2 - 2/3 throttle. http://vimeo.com/19963684" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

On this run the magneto side cylinder had definitely gone south. You can see me waving at Lisa at the end letting her know I couldn't stop. It barely made it up the hill towards her. http://vimeo.com/19963420" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Pulling the head I found a small chuck of cylinder wall missing. I replaced the cylinder on Sunday morning with a spare that was badly scored (but at least all there). Sunday's runs were on 2 1/2 cylinders. Compression on that cylinder was half the others. But at least it ran. No video from Sunday as I forgot to charge the battery.

This weekend gave me a lot of data to move forward with. Hopefully the next event will be closer to full power.
