Hey guys,
I've started stumbling around the forum, so I figured I should say "hey" and introduce myself. I'm Matt from Santa Monica, and so far I've driven at the Dec '10 practice and both '11 championships. I just kinda spontaneously got into autocross when I discovered CSCC in December when I was searching the web for racing possibilities for my slowwww Toyota Matrix. Let me just say I am HOOKED, so I'll hopefully be seeing you all every month. I've already had some email contact with some of you and have met several people at the events, but I look forward to meeting you all eventually.
Also, I've gotten a ton of help and advice from some instructors already (thanks Leonard!), but I'm looking to soak up as much information as possible, so please feel free to drop me any tips you think are important for a beginner to know.

Re: Howdy
There's an Evolution driving school in March. Helped me out TONS when I was first starting. Well worth the cost, imho.
Also, I liked reading this book, which was recommended to me by so many others: http://www.amazon.com/Secrets-Solo-Raci ... 0962057312
There's also SD region events, go karting, & playing GT5.
Seat time, instructors, you seem to be on the right track
