Our regulations require a competitor to purchase a points card and in order to be eligible for season/lifetime points.
If you were unaware of these requirements, but have competed in past events and would like to earn points for those events, the recordkeepers are willing to apply those points retroactively.
If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity, please purchase a points card.

After purchasing the card (permanent number), please submit a request with you car number and event dates to Mike Simanyi (please e-mail through this message board). Requests should be made within 60 days of competing, and will be granted for no more than three past events.
Now come on out and start racking up the points!

Re: Good News for New Competitors (Points)
Sorry if this is a dumb question.
At Sunday's event I purchased a membership for the year, do I also need to purchase a point card?
Any additional info would be appreciated! Thanks.

Re: Good News for New Competitors (Points)
Chris-
There are two different things. First is an SCCA Membership. You have to have this to run any SCCA event nationwide. You can do this weekend by weekend or for the whole year. Sounds like what you did Sunday.
The second is a regional points card. This gives you a permanent number, allows you to join one our regional clubs if you like, and allows you to earn season points. This is what Seb is talking about in this thread.
Hope that explains it and welcome!
