Is there someplace local (Pasadena area) I can get magnetic sheeting (for contingency stickers)? Also do you just cut it with a hobby knife?

I think staples may have something too. Not sure how strong it is though.

McLogan supply in LA (never been there), Chatsworth (been once, big place) or Anahiem (shop all the time). About the same on price as McMaster.

Or my self in Huntington Beach, little cheaper.

Any Kinko's/Fedex biz's but they might be a bit more expensive. Also art supply stores

I think you can get them from sign stores

you will want the 30 mil stuff. anything less and you will lose it off the side of the car.
J. Woodruff should be able to get you the best price around. aslo, he can apply the stickers for you at a small feel

Not necessarily true. If buying from a sign supply place, you can check the specs of the material and it shows the magnetic strength in poles per inch. For instance, the regular 30 mil white mag material at Sign Mart is 13-14 poles and ink jet printable 20 mil I use is 12.5 poles. The numbers/letters on the Berry cars and Max's Miata are mostly direct printed and 20 mil.

I used some 8x11 from Office Depot for some quick and cheap numbers for Pro Solo (due to the different number system with a co-driver). It did the trick*. The sheets are plain white and cut easily with household scissors.

As a side note, you can stick these in an inkjet printer (i had to buy one, about 30$ at Fry's) and print directly on them.

I'll check, but I think I might have two sheets left.

*although, 3-4 events later, one of the "2"s flew off right at the start! I attribute that to a dirty door panel, and not much mounting surface (the font I used for the 2 made it quite thin).

McMaster sells their sheets pull-rated in lbs/sq-ft. They have some HD available: .066" white face, and 1/16 non-faced. The pull rate is substantially higher than their thinner materials. Dunno how that equates to pole count.

I need a specialized mag sheet that sticks better to Bondo.
