2013 Porterfield RallyCross event #1 at Glen Helen is fast approaching, just over four weeks away right now. There's already 30 driver's signed up for the championship and 16 for the practice. Don’t forget to thank Porterfield Brakes for being our title sponsor this year. They’re support has lead to a $5 discount in entry fees.

Don't get caught off guard.

If you're intereste in the RallyX, don't delay in registering. With just over two weeks to go, we're rushing towards a sell out. Both stock classes are filling out nicely.

Sorry suckers, heed my warnings next time.

Since we're sold out, I'll try to put out a detailed schedule together early.

Attention RallyXer's!

Detailed schedule is now up for this weekend's event. Check the first post of this thread, or go to the event's website:

http://www.CalClubRallyX.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Couple of notes:
Sometime Saturday we will open Sunday's check in. If you have time, please check in as it'll make Sunday morning much more efficient.

TECH before you REGISTER, this is new this year.

Yes, we are SOLD OUT. I am going to put people on a wait list starting now. There is still plenty of room for 2wd cars, so I'll put 'wait list' request from them right into the pre-reg list.

I'm planning on bringing many of the decals that are going to be required for the May 17-18 National Challenge event. Please pick up what you can so you can apply at home.

It's looking like it's going to be a beautiful weekend. Be sure to get lots of video and snaps to show your geographically challenged friends.

I want to thank everyone who came to the Porterfield RallyX this weekend. We had a record tying attendance of 76 driver's in Sunday's championship and what I think was the biggest practice attendance we've ever had.

Results are now up for Sunday's championship event. Link to the event website below and click on the results link.

Additionally, the May 17-19 National Challenge registration is now open. Links to registration can be found on the event's home page as well.

There was TONS of amature media coverage out there. Everyone had their gopros, but then there we at least three unmanned cameras on course and three photogs out there as well. Then there were plenty of shots being taken from the grand stands and around the big bowl turns. We also had a video equiped drone buzzing us over head every 20 or 30 minutes. It was a zoo.

In the next few days you probably won't have trouble finding any angle from any part of the day..

Jayson and all,
we had a great time and we didn't even run. Got lots of pictures...hope to be able to do it again. Saw several people from the solo world, Bill and Eric Martin, Justin Setchell, Michael Eguina, George Schilling, Ken Lord and more. Lots of fun!

Fantastic! Watch it on a big screen since typically the copter isn't very close to the action.

Wonderful that you got to use that track! Karen was pissed that we passed this one up ... if we had only known. Will you be able to use that course for more upcoming events?

They pulled the parking lot from me last minute. While it was exciting, it was terribly stressful putting a RallyX on a Trophy Truck course. Very borderline safety, and the course needed to be tedious in some places. Lot so people were jazzed though. I wouldn't want to be there more than once a year.

I think the probability of concrete wall contact or roll-over is significantly higher than the norm for the sport. The event was a hoot, but I think we got away lucky. And then there's the rulebook...

This worked out well in the face of extenuating circumstances. Maybe best leave it at that.
