Make sure to watch Wind Tunnell on Speed TV for some ChaseCam footage courtesy of Bob Tunnell. I don't know if he had the GForce overlay on or not. I hope he did.

Okay, here'ya go. Drove a Fiat Abarth from Austin TX at the Nats. This is my first run on the East course. The car is setup way different than my Sedan, but it was a blast to drive, especially with new sticky tyres!!! More vids to follow as I get'm posted.

Andy McKee's run. Extremely fast and on this run, he jumps into 2nd place with the fastest time on the course in SM2, a sub 40 second run.

got a video up of the West Coarse in the Timmons Subaru/ChaseCam.com/Zzyzx Motosports Subraru STi

http://www.vimeo.com/1779662" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'll do the east coarse and a data overlay if I get some time. Car brought back L2 and STU ProSolo National Championships and an STUL National Championship. Good job Annie and Max. Wish it hadn't been raining so crazy at the pro or we'd have video of that too, car worked amazingly well at the Pro Finale and with it's gearing problems showing up at the National Championships.

So the winning '07 STU STI's longer 2nd gear made an appreciable difference in the Solo Nationals ?

Max and Annie did great against all of those Evo's. Annie would have come in 7th in STU Open. Something like 11 Evo's in the top 15!

My gearing was great for the Pro, especially in the rain, but not so great for the Solo Nationals. We had shift twice both days and they were not easy shifts. I think Aaron missed his shifts on every run on the East course which really hurt him in the standings. The top 9 cars had to shift once on the West and not at all on the East. I would have been much closer to the top if had avoided hitting cones on all my fast runs - I'm not normally much of a cone hitter, but I was determined to be aggressive - you've gotta go for it at Nats, right:)

Annie drove great, especially on the West course where she was flying.

Gearing ended up being a big deal in a lot of classes, a lot of rev limiter on cars that don't usually hit the limiter.

Squiggly lines designate post-finish areas, so that drivers KNOW that they need to be stopped when the lines get all crazy...it's a Houston Region thing, Roger Johnson did that course :D

sorry -- unedited so it takes a few minutes for run to start but well worth the wait

me in 62 GP Spitfire

you can see Don in front of me

and then at the end he is there --- blocking the exit and pushing his car which he says suffered no mechanical problems

So he must like pushing his car......

I would appreciate construcutve comments on my driving as always.....

Started right up after the push, no problems on the course!! Constructive comments would be: get a car with mechanical issues they are much faster.

The winning/4th place car was towed back twice.... The third place car had a 10 mechanical at the start line. The 5th place car also had to be pushed back. I think that the only cars that went totally unscathed was also the slowest.....
