So what happened to the vast majority of our avatars? Will they reappear, or do we all have to post new ones.

At this point, it doesn't look like we'll have access to any kind of backup from the old server that would have the avatars. I'm afraid I'm going to make the recommendation that new avatars be loaded. Sorry.
