Stephen,
Thank you for the write up and excellent explanation. I understand the limits of forums in giving details, but I look forward to in person conversations on your Regions particular circumstances. Perhaps at the Convention?

Re: How does the year end standings / trophies work?
Thanks for the info Craig and the much more accurate explanation of how SDR works! Well, 'more' accurate is not 'completely' accurate. We have two needed qualifications ns in San Diego... You must attend 2/3 of our Champ events, running in the same class, AND you must be in one of the five host gro...

Re: CAM in San Diego.
We did our home work Marshall, even double checked with Doug Gill that we were getting it right. We are exceedingly happy that the SCCA came up with this. It was all strangely sudden, but it saved us because we believed next year was better, and we were wrong. And I was as wrong as anyone.

Re: CAM in San Diego.
Thank you for understanding, Adam. It's an ongoing issue with this class locally. I'm going to have to start printing a flyer and post it at our registration. Yesterday we got a car on slicks that entered CAM. The second event we got a 2007 Z06, whom when we explained it to him said 'so you are not ...

Re: CAM in San Diego.
Everybody needs to be aware the the rule book allows local regions to set their own year of manufacturer parameters for CAM. San Diego went with 1978 and OLDER and chose not to have a 1978 and newer CAM because of a lack of interest. The San Diego Tour is using San Diego's rule set. Only 1978 and OL...

SAN DIEGO MARCH 30 MOVED!!
The San Diego Solo event scheduled for March 30 has been MOVED from the SE lot to the WEST lot. The practice for March 29 has been CANCELLED. At least we get one more shot at the WEST lot before the Tour, so if you were thinking about not coming (all 3 of you) because it's on the SE lot, come down! ...

Re: 2014 CalClub Solo Dates
This was inevitable once San Francisco picked up two (well deserved) national dates. For those who have never done it, it's extremely difficult to weave your way through all the dates, and at some point you lose out. If you try to avoid every single conflict, you would only have 5 events a year. We ...

Re: Online Registration - Is it time? SDR Edition
Jon, Imagine if I posted a thread on the San Diego site trying to 'solve' CalClub problems. How would CalClub react? Particularly when I don't run in LA regularly anymore. And people started posting who also don't run in LA, giving opinions and calling names about their Region. You know how they wou...

Re: Online Registration - Is it time? SDR Edition
Once again, in order to respond properly, it would seem like I was trashing LA, and I won't do that. I have friends and people whom I have great respect who work hard there. Your assumptions on requirements are filled with errors. One error is you seem to think I have not run in LA, and am not famil...

Re: Online Registration - Is it time? SDR Edition
Bob, everything you describe also happens in LA. Don't make it sound like we have extra hoops for novices, we don't. In fact, a novice can just decide to go, that morning, and not pay a penalty. Instead of me in LA, you have to find Gayle, also in a separate chair. And Bob, you picked me out, by nam...

I can say for a fact that there will be no live music at this year Tour.
And like someone said above, if you are asking if you are ready, you are ready. Join up!
It looks like we could use some more STR entries.
I plan on being there!

Re: SCCA/Minor Waivors Question
Yes. Page 46, rule 4.14, paragraph A. The only group/person that is REQUIRED to have a copy is the registrar/region. That is so if an incident happens, the SCCA has proof it has been signed. If the parent wants a copy, have them fill out two. Make sure to print it out in color. Next time I order for...

Can someone remind me why "ST lite" is being added? I don't get it. Because ST is dominated by cars that are smaller, lower, and lighter than just about anything made in the last 20 years and anything that will probably be produced again. If anything other than an older car is going to be...

None in Dixie, none in Texas .... but, but, we have FIVE whole entries in San Diego! And from all over the country!
