Re: F125 is not in CPM or did I miss ---
It's not like you guys are running head to head. each class has a roughly appropriate index to correct for the performance differential. It seems somewhat odd to me that we actually track CPM as a class for points considering it's not a real class by national or local rules. Agreed., take the GP ca...

Re: F125 is not in CPM or did I miss ---
Don, what do you feel is bad/unfair about karts in CPM? Eric, they are not in the class by the rules ! Don OK, so you're not conceptually against karts in the class. Your only problem is that karts are not specifically called out in 7.x.x.x. Explain to me why is it acceptable for you to choose to m...

Re: F125 is not in CPM or did I miss ---
The idea behind a prepared or modified car is exactly that... to prepare and modify a stock bodied car, or build one up from scratch to be competitive within a certain set of guidelines. For prepared yes. For modified no. Many of the mod classes are based on purpose built road racing cars, BM (Form...

Re: F125 is not in CPM or did I miss ---
All very good points! Seems to me that CPM is the Rodney Dangerfield Class, that is, come see me when you have no class. Since there are no rules for this class yet I think somebody needs to propose some. Till then what? I don't anticipate F125 being a class this year. That would leave Rick a man w...

Re: F125 is not in CPM or did I miss ---
By the supps there is no CPM class. According to the supps the two GP drivers should be reclassed to GP, the two EP drivers are stuck in EP and the three F125 drivers have to go back to playing with themselves. OR, we could all unbunch our panties and play nice together. I kinda think it's funny th...

Re: F125 is not in CPM or did I miss ---
Don said: There is no mention at all of CPM in the suppplemental rules, that I could find. Section 7.3.2. d. says: Prepared and Modified (Prep/Mod) may still be combined when a class does not exist as per 7.2 (this says minimum 2 drivers to have a class), with times adjusted in accordance with the ...

Re: F125 is not in CPM or did I miss ---
There is no mention at all of CPM in the suppplemental rules, that I could find. Yes Ron, there is a Bump order for cars that don't make a class. But they did make a class and yes they would have been bumped into BM if there were any BM cars. Ron, didn't you win the jacket for F125 last year? Not to...

Re: F125 is not in CPM or did I miss ---
SCCA classes F125 as a Modified Category class. When we first started and didn't have the numbers we would get put in with other Modified vehicles at ProSolo, precedent set. Eric is running CPM since he will likely be driving Robert's FF at times. Since he and Jon were in CPM I chose to run there, ...

F125 is not in CPM or did I miss ---
F125 has never been in CPM, as far back as I could find. I also checked the minutes for the past Sept, Oct, Nov and Jan and there was no mention. The event registration had F125 in run group 5 not 4 with us. Did Rick decide to change the classes. I thought for sure Christine would catch it and pull ...

Re: 2011 San Diego National Tour 4/1-4/3
Oh nuts. Just realized I mixed up the Tour and Pro and signed up for the Pro last week, not the Tour. Now I have to pay the stupid extra $36 to enter. :( If selling T-shirts didn't help cover my costs, I probably wouldn't go. Any chance of XXL Tall Long Sleve if your doing an event T-shirt? Me too,...

Re: 2011 El Toro Pro Solo 4/8-4/10
Joel, swapping the engine puts you in XP or a modified class, over 2.0l is EM. So look up the Prepared (Section 17) rules and then go to App. A for the weight and other requirements for XP. The same follows for the Modified classes, Section 18, Appendix A for the weight and other requirements. Both ...

Re: Alternative Starting for Kid Kart
The strap will work, maybe---alot of pulling on a motor that has not been run in a couple of years or so . I jumped the battery with a car battery or a battery charger (can't remember which) to turn it over when I started it... The Burris battery is really dead!!

Kurt, it is very easy to patch f-glass, get a bondo kit from Pep Boys or the like. I may also have the brackets that are needed to support that seat, I'll look.

those "long periods" aren't long enough in a NA Miata! btw, our long pedal is now also fat ... added an extension for easier heel and toeing. We're going out to WSR to see Isley and Royle racing tomorrow On Saturday they may need snow tires--- http://www.weather.com/weather/today/USCA0715...

Re: Does this wheel exist?
Team Dynamics makes the Pro Race 1.2 in 17x9 4x100 et35 Not sure of weight, but the same wheel 1" narrower (17x8) weighs 17 lbs. and costs alot more if you buy it from Lotus Motorsport attached the rear of an Exige Cup 260. Team Dynamics had some Pro 1.2 wheels made for my Mustang a few years ...

Re: Course Setup - Feb 12-13
If the course was all one speed I can see that being less fun, but that's certainly better than the tight corners followed by open section courses that rewards having power and doesn't emphasize driving skill. For the civic's, I bet it was nearly all one speed!! For QV and I it was close to being a...
