Re: MSM miata vs AP1 S2K -- opinions?
Good points on the bars... I had been looking into options and although I like the peace of mind in an adjustable bar, if it's tuned right anyways that works too. Once I found a good bar setting I never touched the bar afterwards; the ST bar on my miata has been full stiff the entire time it's been ...

Re: MSM miata vs AP1 S2K -- opinions?
Wooow! Checked this thread after a few days and didn't realize so many people posted. Thanks everyone! It looks like the final ride will end up being a AP2. I have a good friend of mine that's selling one in my price range so soon as my miata sells I'm jumping on it. When I do compete I aim to win a...

Re: F/S 2000 miata (temecula) $4000 firm
Bump, price drop!! This is about as low as I'm willing to go. The offer to sell the car with just the stock wheels for 500 less still stands as well, meaning you could get this car with the stock wheels for $3500!!! With the extras, it's a steal!

Re: MSM miata vs AP1 S2K -- opinions?
It's all good, looks like I may have a lead on a nice AP2 through a friend of mine. With any luck if my miata sells and I can get the loan for it, I'll be set.

Check the oil, see how it goes...would worry about sludge in the motor tho...might be good to take off the pan and clean up the gunk.

Re: MSM miata vs AP1 S2K -- opinions?
Hey guys, Max, I got ya. There is an AP1 I'm looking at and an AP2 I was just presented with by a friend of mine as an option...both are within my budget. I'm working with around 13K (figure I can put down 3 and finance 10). There are NC miatas for sale around that ballpark, but everyone I ask about...

Re: MSM miata vs AP1 S2K -- opinions?
Max, I found out last night the MSM from 04/05 is now classed in c stock. That's why I got so interested in it since it's no longer outgunned in B. Ron, funny you say Boxter, so did a friend of mine. Main issue I take with that car is the motor isn't easily serviced and i prefer to do my own work. I...

MSM miata vs AP1 S2K -- opinions?
Hey everyone. It's been a long time! Well, it's the time to replace my miata I think. It's starting to play suckerfish with my wallet and I don't like wasting cash...so, I'm looking into my alternative which is getting in debt  I'm always planning around what to do that would be fun to autox. M...

Thanks.

SSR Competition w/Low run RE11s - $800
Hey everyone! I've had a few things changing in my life recently, and am trying to make some extra $$. This means quitting autoX (again..argh) and selling some stuff. I got these wheels from Mako and they've been phenomenal! 9lbs each, wheels do have some permanent brake dust on the rims but overall...

Re: OEM ECU, '99 Miata Tune ?
This may sound silly but is there a possibility of using an Apexi AFC to tune it? May not provide quite the resolution you want but it could work no? Or would the Miata ECU counteract the changes?

Re: Need Help, "Arguments" To Get Son 2 Drive AX
I'm with Kurt on this one...I know many people who were either totally choping at the bit to drive like me or they were so carefree about it that it didn't matter. My fiance is that way...cars are a utility conveyance less a source of actual amusement. I do want her to participate in autoX but she's...

Re: Any tire advice for ST2 Miata?
My experience with 205/50/16 Dunlop Z1 Star Specs has been a mixed bag - good tread life and easy to handle at the limit, but with one caveat: my last three sets have had chunking issues - could be due to my driving, but two other forum members have had issues as well (Tim Aing and Andrew Bingham) ...

Re: Cougar Replacement
Have to say, driving my sister's RX8 I had the hardest time not winding it up to 9k and smacking the limiter. the engine is so buttery smooth it's hard to adjust to. Takes a bit of time before you realize where the rev counter stops. Good car though, punchey, and handled pretty well. Prepare for a s...

you never know man, people have been known to strip cars then sell parts on e-bay not suspecting people might be on the watch. a GT2 is pretty damn hard to miss.
Lets hope the car stays in one piece. time to get LoJack.
