Any pictures from the Saturday, Oct 16th practice?

Did any one get any pictures form the practice on Saturday? I had my BMW on site for the first time, running some old, hand-me-down and narrow for the car Re-71's. I'm sure my lack of grip provided some entertaining action shots. At least it felt that way from behind the wheel. Hopefully some one ca...

Re: JDP Driving Program, Year 2 with no events?

Is it now officially over, the JDP?

I would again like to thank the Ekstrand's, Steve and Stacey as well as Robert Baltazar for all their help and guidance during our time in this program.

Now, time to get a car ready for Samuel.

Do you need a tire warmer for the Fontana event?

Having driven in this position before, at this level of competition, knowing that I have never driven your car before, I understand how I can help! The potential run order of the event and condition of the surface before you run, is going to be an unknown. Unless you have my reaction to the course. ...

Re: New year, new calendar of events, any word on ..

This was a good meeting. Productive information, that will be available, is in the works. The next step is applying as a region to be part of a pilot program to put into place a frame work that get's the kids back into the karts. With May as the start if we are accepted in the pilot program. This is...

The calendar of events from the SCCA is going up, just posted in fact. Fontana and Crows are on the schedule. Any word on including the JDP in the mix?

We all need to do some planning, not at the last minute.

Thank you, both to you and Stacey. If something does brake loose we will need a heads up. Samuel is now 6'3" and has out grown just about everything.

Re: JDP Driving Program, Year 2 with no events?

Reed, Yes, the easy thing to do would be to not pay for his membership but; 1. If they get there act together and restart the program, I send in money, if it happens in the first year and they go back to his original anniversary/start date.hey do not pro rate the balance of the year. 2. The SCCA mak...

JDP Driving Program, Year 2 with no events?

My annual licensing renewal with the SCCA, for both myself and Samual, is paid. When paying it , to the SCCA home office Candice provided me the opportunity to send a request for "relief" on Samuel's portion of the bill. We are still waiting for some sort of public acknowledgment of what t...

Could we dedicate our September event to /for a Divisional event? Not sure what it would look like, one day or two, but we have the weekend and the registration has not opened up.

Just a thought.

I'm asking for a "in a car, with the kids" in the beginning situation. Having a two way conversation with them as they are on the course in the very beginning, opportunity.

Your description works in a more advanced application.

JDP Assessment Committee Named, now we can...

The JDP Assessment Committee has been named. I understand that they will address and complete the path we will follow to get the kids back into the events. Based on my observation as a parent/participant I would commend the local group that has made this experience work for our family. Now, to get t...
